Kampung Kling Mosque really stands out along Harmony Street (Jalan Tukang Emas). Its nice to see Hindu, Muslim and Buddhist places of worship all so close together.
This was built in 1748 and is a unique mix of styles - the minaret bears a stong resemblance to a pagoda. Inside there are gold topped Corinthian columns and a Victorian chandelier. Out the back is an ablutions fountain.

This mosque can be found in Harmony street right alongside the Hindu temple. It is not the most elaborate mosque I have seen, but still worth a visit inside. Remember to wear appropriate clothing and take your time wandering around as there are many beautiful things to see.

i went around jonker street during the night and found this magnificant temple. its tower is illuminated by a light green lights and the walls with yellow translucent lights. it is a sight to behold...the outside was amazing, more so is the inside. the architecture is magnificent with intricate designs, sculptures and idols. a must see around malacca!

On 17th Sept 2013 we were delighted to visit this great ,beautiful, neat clean & wellkept place of worship standing side by side with an Hindu Mandir (Temple) in the hormony street of China town in the vicinity of Chinese temple of Melaka. We offered prayer after ablution from the pond in the court yard.Masjid inside is very beautiful. These places are living example of interfaith hormony & brotherhood in MALAYSIA.

Unfortunately during our visit to Malacca, we found the Kampung Kling Mosque closed for restoration so were unable to visit inside to see the interesting architectural design and the pagoda shaped minaret for which this mosque is somewhat famed.

Kampung Kling is located on Jalan Tukang Emas, what is called Harmony Street due the close proximity of this mosque to the nearby Cheng Hoon Teng Temple and Sri Poyatha Moorthi Temple. We felt this resembled, on a smaller scale, what you can see along Singapore's South Bridge Road where the very large Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Sri Marimman (Hindu) Temple and Jamae Mosque almost side by side. It is nice to see religious people able to live so close to each other in harmony.

Not sure how long the restoration efforts will take place but you can still see the old watch tower which is sort of neat. We hope the restorations go well and that the Kampung Kling Mosque reopens for visitors in the near future.
