Definitely a real authentic Chinatown. No artificial made up market on the weekend. Delicious street food that is truly homemade from it's own city. A true heritage walk along as it seems to be the most highlights spot for the historical city.

Just nothing interesting to offer, only the usual shops and a few cafe's you couldn't even sit out at

Malacca's always a fun town to visit, and part of the fun is strolling up and down Jonker Street (also known as Jonker Walk). In recent years, it's also be nicely spruced up to keep visitors staying for longer. And because Malacca listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, no new buildings can be built in this part of town. This certainly helps to maintain the atmospheric feel of the old town. Several interesting and colourful Chinese temples, lots of shops and eating places add to the life of Jonker Street. On Friday and Saturday nights, there's also a lively nigh market - probably not much of a bargain to be found but at least its' enjoyable to stroll through.

nothing special maybe due to weekday, heard weekend more merrier and crowded. A must stop at the souvenier shop San Shou Gong, alot of free tasting provided inside the shop.
