Full of touristy shops and eateries. Some of sights close to the street are interesting. There are other more interesting sights in Malaka.

I love this place very much. It is amazing and unique. Especially in the evening, Jonker street will have a night market selling delicious foods and cute souvenirs. It was crowded but definitely a must-go place in Melaka!!

We went there on a weekday morning. The weather was hot. Most of the shops were not open yet. The souvenirs were rather unique and interesting! The street is narrow but well shouldered by pedestrian pathways. The old buildings were nicely renovated. However,I think the best time to visit Jonker Street should be the weekends when there are more activities and more vibrant, especially at night!

Weird, most of the shops are closed on week days. Many of the shops the people are not very friendly unfortunately, in other places people are very nice.
The one stop that I would qualify as the best attraction on the street is the "Royal Press". It is an old printing company that opened its doors to the public and a minimal fee, you can see the old machinery used for the past 60 years and how they organize their chinese characters for printing. It is a must see.
