“Jonker Walk, a historic site!”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

Jonker Walk = Old Melaka Town = Old Chinatown. It is a living heritage museum. During the day, you see ordinary people with regular lives while in the evenings, a busy bazaar. If you're not interested in old stuff (antiques?), you could walk around, taste the Hainan style chicken rice at Hoe Kee or enjoy the iced milk tea at Lao Qian Café (at the entrance to Jonker Street). However, you must visit the Harmony Street where a Chinese Temple (Kuil Cheng Hoon Teng), a Muslim Mosque (Masjid Kampung Kling) and a Hindu Temple (Sri Payyatha Vinayaga Moorthy Temple) are all on this same street.

“Eat and eat”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Everyone who is in Melaka should visit Jonker Street! Highly recommended because of the food. There are all kind of food and all are delicious. Also you get to shop for clothes, bags and etc but do not expect too much in term of quality. Worth the visit although weekends are very crowded.

Reviewed July 9, 2013

Jonker street overall had a great atmosphere and bargins. It was difficult to find a cold beer but we found a bar called Geographic which served cheap food and drinks!

“Fun night market”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

Most of the stalls sell junk, but the variety of food, the hilarious karaoke performances, and the generally fun atmosphere make it worth a jaunt.
