“A must-visit place in Melaka”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2013

This church is one of a kind, the church color is very unique and remarkable. A lot of people visits here, and a good tourist spot. If you want the people to know you went to Melaka, you come here.

“Dutch architecture marvel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2013

Beautiful facade, with faint red coat. The places is swarmed by tourist at every weekend and holidays. Perfect place for wedding photoshoots, but only during off peak times. Walk around the place and enjoy the sight and sounds of Melaka on a trishaw.

“Good Preserved”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

Visited Malacca during Vesak day (one of the national holidays in Singapore and Malaysia), and it was packed with tourists. The church itself is nicely preserved after so long it has been there, and the paint still look the same from when I visited 10 years ago (yes, it's been that long since the last time I visited Malacca). The government did a justice on preserving this church, I must say. Since this place is one of the main tourist attraction here, there is a line up of colorful and nicely decorated trishaws just beside the church. They will offer you for a round- about trip in small part of Malacca. Unless you really want to experience a ride in a trishaw, I suggest that you just go on your own without them, as it can get rather pricy. There is a street market just outside the church selling all the nick-nack. If you get thirsty, go opposite of the road and enjoy some thirst quencher like coconut drink.

“SHOW RESPECT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

it's important to walk into this small church where you may attend a service in English. This historical landmark building is beautiful yet simple. Please remember to show respect by not taking photos as people are praying. Also if you are wearing a hat, please remove it when entering the church.
