Owner description: The A' Famosa Fort and landmark St Paul's Church are two of the many attractions in this district.

The church is really just some of the outside wall that remains with a couple of plaques. There's not really a great deal to see there but the views over town are good. It's a fairly steep walk in the heat, though not too far if you're ordinarily fit.

Interesting stroll through history. You can see the ruins of St Paul, as well as tombstones, mostly dating to the 1500s and 1600s. Take the time to read them, some will bring tears to your eyes.
Did not like the fact that the tombstones are cemented to the wall. Did not like the peddlers around the area, especially the ones who set up their wares against the tombstones.
You need to walk up a hill - may be a bit difficult for elderly. Not accessible for wheelchairs.

It was a 34 degree Celsius feel hot morning, my kid is making noise that he doesn't want to walk when he saw the stairs. The poor daddy had to carry my kid walk up the stairs. It is very tiring but at least we made it to the landmark of Melaka city. Nice view from the top and you can just walk along when ever you see any tour group. Tag along to listen some of the history and stories about the place.

To go to St Paul's Hill you would have to pass through the fort build by the Portuguese called A'Famosa. The only remnants of the fort is now the entrance front arch, some walls within and the church structure at the top.

It is quite a good walk up and if you have weak knees or unfit.....take it very slow and enjoy the walk up with stops in between to rest and catch your the breath.

Once you reach the top the view is well worth the effort

a nice and historical site for tourists and locals alike. Its a must-see for first-timers to Melaka. but after going there for a number of times, I feel that I am growing tired of it.
