“Can be better with commentary”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

Wish there's tourist guide giving commentary on the place or maybe info. board that tells you the history of the place. Unless you learn from school or have read about it history prior to the visit, you definitely have no clue on the history of the place. Further, too many stalls selling stuff along the way spoilt the atmosphere.

“Good”
Reviewed February 1, 2013

Visited in January 2013. So humid, but nice. Did not go trekking all the way up to St. Paul's church because of my foot injuries. I think Melaka is the best heritage city I have ever visited.

“Nice photo stop”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

This is part of the Portuguese history and h great photo opportunities. It is part of a bigger complex of sites and should be part of any visit to Melaka. Hidden behind and between the newer area of Melaka and the old end, it is a little tricky to find as maps are not all that clear. But we'll worth a visit

“My childhood playground”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

Will always remember this as my playground when I visited my grandmother as it is just behind her house. Before there was just a padang and the sea where I use to catch frogs and mudskippers. Now they have reclaimed the land and built shopping malls and more hotels.
One good thing is that they have built up the museums along the street before that there wasn't much around.

I don't like the pedlers there who try to sell you junky stuff in the fort or up on St. Paul's Hill.
Good to reflect on the history surrounding it.

“A Glimpse of the Past”
Reviewed January 17, 2013

This was such an interesting site to visit, given the significance of the fort and how it has been maintained as a site of historical significance given that it is now a major tourist attraction. I hope that it continues to be maintained well into the future for many years yet to come.
