Owner description: The Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum is located in Melaka, a world UNESCO Site. The house is a combination of three terrace lots that were acquired by the Chan family in 1861. Four generations lived in the house before it was opened as a museum in March 1985. Visiting hours from 10.00am to 4.30pm every day.

First of all, it should be "Nyonya" - please revise the title, it's a bit hard to search this one otherwise.

The houses (3 houses combined into 1) are very beautiful, and well maintained by the descendants (6 generation now - owned by 4th generation). The information are very useful, and give me more insights on the baba nyonya history, including their wellness as well as their life style. With original furniture, cloths, and interior, it was very interesting tour.

Fee are 15RMB, including tour guide, which can give you a lot of information, entertaining and very informative. The places also where they shot the tv drama "little nyonya". Don't miss this one.

Is a must go museum if you have chance to visit Malacca , this museum is full of historical and cultural art, crafts, clothing, jewellery and etc.
Definitely a good place to let people find out more about heritage inter-marriage(baba and nyonya) and understand their lifestyle from many years ago.

Me and my girlfriend reached there around 11.30am and the entrance fee was RM15/person.
Our tour guide was a very friendly English speaking lady. She explained to us every single details but I can’t memorize all as we are not allowed to
take any photograph in this house(we saw a china visitors of 3 been escorted out due to they still taking photo after last warning)

It took us about one hour to finish the tour in this museum. Overall I would say we had a wonderful experience here and RM15 is definitely worth for the visit.
What we regret much is we doesn't have chance to try out the Nyonya crusine (the restaurant is just right beside) as we are rushing to the next station.

Didn't know anything about the Straits Chinese so visiting this Museum explained a bit more about them. Worth a visit.

ok this place gives you a good glimpse of the history and the culture of the place..not a grand place and infact you can miss the place if you don't ask the people around as it is tucked in between the houses..
