Interesting displays of Baba-Nyonya cultures and traditions. Pretty amazing. Beautiful architectures in the building. A great place to gain knowledge and understanding of the Baba-Nyonya heritage.

This is 3 house fronts joined together filled with fantastic furniture, wall hangings etc as it would have been when a family lived there. Get a free guided tour to enhance the visit. The intricacy of the furniture (mother of pearl inlay) has to be seen to be believed.

This museum is privately runned by the Chan family in an effort to preserve their peranakan heritage. Thus, it is managed more like a home in many ways, as the family still visit this site when to perform the ancestral worship rites. Do note expect academic explanations. Instead, you will get a sense of Malacca from the 1910's to the 1970s and in this way, is worth the visit.

A number of pieces of general knowledge came together. Will help me better understand the environment in which I will work for the coming years. Improvement suggestion: Keep the busses en general traffic out of the street.
