“Fairly tasty, small portions”
Reviewed January 22, 2014 via mobile

The food is fairly tasty. Not the best I've had but pretty okay.
The portions are not big, but that's ok because you can order more dishes and try out more things.

“Nice savoury asam pedas”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

Headed to jln merdeka fr another nyonya meal..had a different restaurant in mind..reached thr only to find they were closed...probably over crowded..across the road, we saw cottage spice n decided to give a try...just the nite bfr, we had asam pedas which was lousy. So we were hesitant trying asam pedas again but they had no other fish gravy..n we settled fr fish asam pedas, sotong sambal with petai n cencaluk omelette...we were so satisfied and started savouring asam pedas..sotong wasnt up to our expectation..the squad rings were too big.petai was fresh n they were generous in petai..lastly we had a bowl of cendol..ended ordering another bowl..overall food was good..im satisfied.

“tasty nyonya food....”
Reviewed December 12, 2013

walked into this place accidentally but no regrets during my last visit to Melaka. Stayed at Equatorial Hotel. Just crossed over and voila! Place was crowded during lunch. service was okay. can't blame them. Ordered for the Deep fried fish.Costly but really tasty with the belacan paste.veggie was good too. cendol was to die for.went well with the hot weather outside.one of the waiter brought the wrong order but during payment time we were waived of the taxes with a pleasant smile from the lady owner . it was not much but the thought counts, right!

“good tasting perenakan food...”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

this place is run by a family and they are able to maintain the standard and the quality of their dishes. Though they are pretty slow in cooking but I seriously think that its worth the wait. However, one thing that I had noted was that the price seems to be going up. Correct me if I am wrong but still a good place to try out some nice nyonya dishes.

“Tasty Nyonya Restaurant @ Melaka”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

The atmosphere is good, the waitress is friendly, and the food is tasty. For me the price is just abit pricy. But worth for a try, Nyonya is a characteristic special in Melaka.

I want to recommend the Fried fish, the fish skin is crispy and the inside is not oilly at all! This is amazing. Nicely fried. All eight of us was statisfied the food there, except the drinks and the cendol. We don't like the cendol serve there. But the Otak-Otak is amzing.

Nyonya food mainly is spicy, so for those who have kids maybe need to bring own babyfood. :)
Adults loves spicy but kids don't eat. But there are some (little) non-spicy food on the menu.

We ordered 1chicken, 2 veges, 2 fishes, 1otak-otak, 1spicy squids, 3 cendols and drinks. Cost around RM280+
