This was a lovely hotel - lovely room, very clean with good amenities! Nice bathroom - great shower!
Breakfast was good and different each morning!
Staff were very helpful and would go out of their way to help you!
The hotel is situated very centrally - easy walking distance to everything you need to see!

First time staying at this place with my partner. Excellent service, Room was clean, comes with safe and cable tv. Breakfast yums! Location excellent - Stones throw away to pretty much anywhere you wanna go.
Love the shower head and Mable finishing of the toilets.

Location was good just at jonker street with many food variety. Staffs were ok.. rooms were clean n bed is big and comortable... but toliet structure was a bit weird with exposed concept. Staircase was a bit irritating...

Stayed for a night here on cny. The room is very small but neat and clean. The location is superb, only behind Jonker street. Breakfast is simple but adequate. A night there's security at main door where guest are required to tap their room card at the card sensor in order to enter the hotel, which I think it's good.
Shower room is very modern designed with individual heater control in the room. If you have big luggage you might want to take rooms on the ground floor as the staircase is quite steep.
I particularly like the interior where they still keep a well at the centre with an open roof for ventilation purpose.
Overall this small boutique hotel is a nice and convenient place to stay if you want to be near all the attractions area.

First of all the staff were top notch. Helpful, smiling, warm, and accommodating.

Unfortunately, for all of the hard work put in by the front desk daytime staff, the room we were in was ridiculously noisy.

We could hear all of the comings-and-goings in the hallway, right down to hearing the cleaning person's mop sweeping across the floor.

Things only got worse at night as there is an alarm on every door that goes off if the person entering does not put it in the slot that turns on the power almost immediately.

Having already been woken up several times to the alarm, was further woken at 4AM to people coming back from the clubs walking and talking very loudly. This meant another 2.5 hours of sleep until the first people woke up in the morning.

This aspect alone means I cannot ever see myself going back to this hotel nor being able to recommend it, even as a last-chance (wait another time if this is the only hotel available).

It really is too bad as the efforts of the great daytime staff are more than offset by a poorly sound-insulated room.

For RM300 a night this room that I booked was more expensive than a lot of hotels in the city. The room was smaller than shown in the pictures, however it was equipped with good quality bed, toiletries, robes, safe, beddings, towels, bathroom (no tub).
There's a verandah/balcony attached to my room that gave me views of the Melaka river. All in all, the place was lovely except the tiny room and price.
Just a note for the elderly: most places like this and nearby Jonker Street have narrow stairs, and no lifts. Request for rooms at lower levels if available. :)

Stayed for a night on 21st Dec 2013 with a small group of friends. Room was clean and well maintained. Hotel is located on a street next to Jonker Street so it is really convenient to move around the World Heritage site. Was very happy and satisfied. Highly recommended.
