Nice hotel, although the space is small. Its clean and comfort. It is worth when promotion period.
the location is near to the town about a 15-20 min drive and will reach DP and MP. Satay celup is just next to the lot shop of the hotel. But for the parking, they have no car park for those who driving and the driver need to put the coupon himself/herself. The design in the room itself is quite nice. And the television is working because most of the hotel television did not work at all or the transmission is very bad. Maybe you can try to stay this hotel to see yourself how the condition.

The hotel is located smack in the middle of a row of shophouses, and the sign wasn't really prominent so you can easily miss it if you don't look closely. You can park along the shophouses and a little further to the left of the hotel, there is an open air carpark that can probably house about 10-15 cars.

I booked the suite with a unique round bed. It is not for tall people or people who toss and turn around in bed. I'm of average built so it is decent enough for me and the pillows are very comfortable. The room itself is big, but if suite to you means extra amenities, then sad to say, you only get the basic amenities that comes with the suite. It's really no frills, and the flooring is wooden. I would say that the room is quite sound proofed though even though the hotel is facing a busy road and the eating places which open late into the night. The bathroom is big with basic shower facilities.

Jonker street is walkable, if you know how to. You'll end up at the back part of Jonker street rather than the front where most of the tourists congregate. It is also not that far if you drive.

There are 2-3 famous satay celup eateries around the hotel, so be prepared to queue. We waited for about 45 mins before getting a seat.

Smart,, little hotel. We found rooms nice and clean with very good sized bathroom. Our room had no window but still ok. Staff helpful and gave us map and directions etc without us asking. 10 minute walk to Jonker Walk with all it's shops, bars, restaurants etc.

- Friendly staff with good local knowledgeable
- Accommodative service & listening ear to guest request for bed linen change though linens are still stained.
- Bathroom shower are in serviceable (yes you get water) yet damaged state (replace shower holder with your hands)
- Bed linens are stained with yellow patches (At least they did try to change)
- Bed had damaged springs.
- Walking distance (5-7mins) to jonker street along roadside lined with funeral parlours

** Conclusion, not for individuals with expectations.

Stayed in this nice small hotel recently. Liked it a lot. Its located near Jonker and has many excellent local eateries surrounding it, such as Satay Celup and Popiah. The rooms are nice, clean and comfy, decent size and big bathroom. Remember to ask the hotel staff for recommendations on where to go and what to eat. They know where's the best.
Melaka is great. Excellent place to chill, shopping, sightseeing and most important, eat!!
Will revisit this hotel very soon!

I stayed in December 2012, just before Christmas. Apparently it was peak period and I was lucky enough to get the last available room.

D'Hotel was around 10 min walk to Jonker Street, and there is also an eatery that opens till late in case you are up for midnight snack. The room was reasonable for the price - sizable and was clean, with flat screen TV and air-con. Bed was confmy and basic amenities were included. There were only basic furnitures though (no fridge, no desk, no chairs) nor were there elevator though so do ask for rooms on ground level if you have big luggages. Our room had no window but we knew it when we made the reservation.

The best thing about the hotel was the staff. We arrived at midnight and the staffs were waiting for us and had everything ready when we checked in. They are always patient and friendly. We had difficulities booking coach ticket going to KL and they did their utmost to help - i am sure we wouldn't have been able to get the tickets if it wasn't them!

It is a good, well located, no frills hotel for budget travellers. I'd stay there again just because of the wonderful staffs.

I went to this hotel last week, and for the amount i paid Rm 148 inclusive of taxes, it was not worth it at all. First, there was blood stains on the comforter then there was that musty smell in the room as if it has not been occupied for a long time. The room was extremely small and not worth the money. Being the only option for the budget that I had for the trip was the only reason i took this hotel. The De Hotel in Ipoh is awesome and i thought that it would be the same here but I was totally wrong. If you are going for a weekend getaway with someone, Please Please do not opt for this hotel. Not worth looking a second time.

Room Tip: Find Bigger hotel franchise or at least one's in town (Bandar Melaka Raya) or nearer to Jonker S...
