Just next to La Boss Hotel.
Really yummy Bak Kut Teh, even my 4 & 6 yo loved the soup.
Served in pipping hot claypot.
Remember to order yam rice and fried fritters.

“Porky food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013

One of the nice Ba Ku Teh in town even though it may not beat the famous Klang. It is crowded at times. So do plan before heading to the shop. Further to that, the services is quite fast and it worth the money for the food

“Still great Bak Kut Teh!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2013

Went back to Malacca for a short trip and back to Teo Chew Bak Kut Teh! This time, I went armed with a camera to take some pictures of the food.

The food is still just as good! Make sure to go there before 2:30pm.

“Awesome cooked piggies”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

Everytime I come back to Melaka, I make it a point to go to this place to have my fill of bak kut teh. Teo chew bak kut teh is a tad bit different in the sense that the soup is garnished with celery. It has a fresh taste to it, not overtly herbalish and this place gives decent cuts. My favourite combination would be loads of mushrooms, pork ribs and meatballs (the meatballs here are homemade, hence soft, delicious and full of flavour).

The highlight of my trip here every time is the stewed pork leg/trotter. This version is without the vinegar and the sauce is so yummy, I can have it with the rice just like that every single time. You can order your bak kut teh with a side of stir fried vegetables and have either white rice or yam rice (take the yam rice, it is flavourful and a dish of its own).

Prices here are not on the low side (warning!). A portion for one for the bak kut teh, stir fried vegetables and stewed pork leg with three yam rice and tea to go along with cost us RM39.00. For bak kut teh, that is above average pricing but it is well worth it!

This place is opened for breakfast and lunch, you might want to go there a little earlier for both sessions because this place is PACKED on the weekends!

“Probably the best Bak Kut Teh in Melaka”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

Tried the Teo Chew Bak Kut Teh stall for the first time this morning. The location was easy to find. It was very crowded.. natural air conditioned. Fans working, warmed but the correct environment for Bak Kut Teh..

We sat at a table and soon, a person came to take our order. Everything came in a claypot, piping hot..Delicious, tender ribs, mushrooms, pork loin slices, black fungus, etc. All in a claypot. We also ordered a plate of vegetables to go with the soup dish. And of course, we have Tikuanyin tea..and it goes very well with the bak kut soup.. Just awesomely delicious..

The total costs came to a reasonable price for two people. Love it..

Oh, you will enjoy the boss, who cooks the bak kut teh, who turns out to be quite a noisy character. He will shout out for your when your dish is ready to be served.. And he never stop calling which means that his business is really very good..
