Free wifi, clean, within walking distance to tourist attraction! very friendly owner/keeper. small cozy house with 5rooms? well maintained and free foot massage machine after long walk at jonker street. Try assam pedas Hajjah monah, duck noodle and The famous pak putra tandoori.

Lovely place, clean, close to all the sights, beautifully decorated. Mr Kee is a gem, he is friendly, helpful and very kind. He gives you the best tips where to go and what to do! I wish i stayed couple of more days. It is a small guesthouse but very well maintained and looked after. They lend bicycles for free to their guests :)

Room Tip: It was hard to find at first, just try to get directions, but once you find it, it is very easy. Ver...

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at D'Laksamana. Melaka is a beautiful town with a rich history and Mr. Kee, the manager of the guesthouse, is a fantastic ambassador for Melaka, and keen to help you learn the history of the town. We had a double room with a shared bathroom, the rooms are spotlessly clean and the accommodation is close to Jonkers Walk. There are a lot of restaurants on the adjacent road to the guesthouse so be prepared to hear noisy washing up late at night at the weekend! Great stay and good that breakfast is included - try the Asian breakfasts as they are very good!

I had pleasant stay in this guesthouse with my son. The location is within walking distance (around 5-10 mins) to jonker street and Portuguese square. As I'm with my little boy, we prefer to take taxi or becak to Pahlawan mall, and other tourism object.
The room and bathroom is clean, nice, like stay in relative house. The highlight is the living room, that completed with massage chair, coffee corner, collection of DVD and book.

The only downside is there is no reception desk that you could ask for help, but you could call the owner anytime. I highly recommended this guesthouse and definitely will be back.

Stayed in this guesthouse for three nights. First two nights we practically had the entire house to ourselves. There is a cozy living room with a massage chair, tv, dvd-player with movies and a computer for a common use. For the last night there were four other guests and it was very noisy in the morning. For the price we paid (90 rm + weekend extra 10 rm) it was really good value for the money. Rooms were spotlessly clean and have AC. There is a shared bathroom outside the room. Breakfast was okay but had beans and sausages with every option. It says in their website that no kids or under 30s aren't allowed in the guesthouse?!! Sounds quite strange to me but they didn't check our id cards when we arrived (we are 31 so we would have passed:)). There is no staff in the guesthouse which can be problematic if you leave your key in to your room (as we did!). But you can always call the staff so it's not too difficult. And staff is very nice. All in all, very lovely place to stay, can highly recommend!
