The unit has 2 rooms and living room. Bus from singapore will drop and pick up us at the hotel. Swimming pool is big. I felt like staying in condo/apartment with swimming pool. I stayed there one night in 2013.

Room tip: choose facing swimming pool

The worst ever hotel i ever experienced . I booked 1 bedroom Apartment deluxe.
Below are those thing i need to highlight:
1) low water pressure in bathroom
2) no brush or tootpaste provided.
3) no plates spoon glasses in the room . You see i have booked apartment rooms before and equipped with all these basic things and you will not find those kitchen & bathroom utensils here in Mahkota Melaka Hotel.
4) overall terrible !!

Dear JohnNaidu,

Greetings from Mahkota Hotel Melaka!

Thank you for your time taken to share your recent experience. On behalf of the team, we regret to note on your disappointing experience, and we would like to extend our apologies for not meeting your expectation. It was most unfortunate that we fell short on this occasion. Your valuable feedback have been shared with our team for immediate attention and improvement to enhance our service standard delivery to our guests.

We believe your previous rented unit is not under the Management of Mahkota Hotel Melaka. There are several owners listed their units in various online sites (example: Agoda.com, Booking.com and so forth). Thus, we suggest to our supporters to be extra alert when placing bookings. For direct bookings, do log on to www.mahkotahotel.com.my or email to reservation@mahkotahotel.com.my to book. Alternatively, you may call our Reservation Department for prompt room confirmation (606-2812828). As for your comments concerning our apartment category room’s facility, hotel’s long term guests (with minimum stay of 14-nights stays with us) are provided with facilities such as kitchen wares (example: basic cooking ware, plates, fork, spoons, etc).

Nonetheless, we regret on the negative impression reflected and again apologize for the inconvenience caused. Your kind patronage is very much appreciated and we hope we are able welcome you back to provide better experiences in the near future.

Warmest Regards,

Assistant Marcom Manager

Firstly the parking is easily accessible in front of the hotel. The check-in was quick and staff was genuinely friendly. The room is spacious and standard amenities were available. The room is also clean and well maintained. Many eateries and malls, 10 minutes walking distance. We enjoyed our one day stay.

hotel opened in 1996, so understandably everything's old school. but if u into historical things this hotel is a must stay. we're not fussy traveller so it's good enough for my family of 4 + my parents. we stayed at its 2-room apartment. its a nice 600sqft with rooms big enough for us and it got big bathroom on both rooms. there's 2 big pools on the hotel side and the apartments side with big waterslides for kids and playground nearby. so even there's alot of people during our stay it never feel too crowded. if you're into architecture then the design of this hotel is quite grand and modern for its time. not many old hotel designs that can still fit in today's design taste and this one is quite timeless. it has big glass wall at its restaurant that oversee the big pools. If u choose to stay in the hotel room, the balcony looks spacious and overlook the pools. mine abit smaller but they locked it for security purpose (wonder why is that)

overall is a nice hotel for short stay. the mahkota parade mall just across the road if u need anything and if u took one of the colorful trishaws, u can ask them to send u back at the hotel (with small additional mileage fee)!

Room tip: the keycard booklet have hotel map printed on the back for easy reference. room autolock doors abit hard to get into though
