On the plus side: nice rooms, comfty bed, good location, good breakfast.
Minus: service quality (especially check-in took ages), cleanliness only ok for such a new hotel.
As a whole the stay was nice, especially the value for money was very good.

Stayed here for 2 nights (13-15 jan '13), got a room on the 18th floor, facing the pool & the city.
+ very spacious room! two TVs (though not very useful); comfortable bed and pillow!
+ nice bathroom (never had a rain-like shower head - i don't know what it's called)
+ wide range of nice tasting breakfast (american, asian, cakes, even had hard & soft boiled eggs).
+ great location!!! next to a mall selling gadget stuffs. 2 malls across the street. famous tourist sites are within walking distance (even the sites are located quite near to each other). bring umbrella though, it can get quite hot.
+ air conditioner can be adjusted on temperature. not just high - med - low.
+ receptionists and restaurant staffs are friendly :)

- no wifi except on public areas. WHY??? it's a five-star hotel! better exchange that other TV to have wifi in each room... the only reason it's 'very good', not 'excellent'.

additional:
it has gym, pool, sauna, etc. many facilities & great room/service, but I spend most of my day outside. so... didn't try any of it. you might want to take it into consideration if you're staying in this hotel.
it costs me around 400myr/2 nights. a really good price compared to hotels in SG & KL. but then again, melaka is a small town.
a taxi from the hotel to melaka sentral costs around 15-20 myr.

I stayed here for 2 days from 16-18 Jan 2013 with my wife and parents. They drove there while I rode solo on my Honda Pan European from Singapore. On arrival, I was directed to park my bike right beside the car park payment counter, located on level 2 as you drive up the ramp from road level. Entrance for cars are via gantry located after a left side turn which you pay either by Touch n Go card, or simply press a button to be issued a ticket before the gantry opens. As hotel guests, you can have the parking ticket endorsed by the reception before driving out again, so you don't have to pay anything, but if you made the mistake of using your Touch n Go card upon entry, you bear the deduction yourself.
Breakfast spread was good, but I kind of got tired of it by the second morning. The coffee was ok, but not spectacular. Try the curry laksa and wanton mee, they are good.
Location wise, you can't beat this hotel. The IT mall (level one) at Hatten Square consisted of only a few struggling tenants, and things don't seem to be looking up for these tenants either. Venture further north or to Mahkota if you are hoping to make this a shopping spree. Just remember not to lose your parking ticket or you risk paying a fine of RM30.00. The rooms does not have wifi, so if you carry a smartphone, check your mails at the lobby or during breakfast at 11th floor. You will need to log in using your room number and password written on your hotel key envelope.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view if available.

After a tiring day in kuala lumpur, i decided to drive to melaka city to relax. I decided to book this hotel via telephone just few hours before checking-in. My booking was done very smoothly by the reservation staff who was friendly and well knowledgable. Upon arrival, i had a small problem finding for the hotel parking as the parking entrance in located at the side of the building and is shared with the shopping complex. At the entrance of the parking, it was just written shopping complex parking and i didn't see any signs showing hotel parking. I called the hotel and they guided me well to my parking bay. Hotel guest get free parking-need to get a stamp at the hotel concierge before exit.
Check-in was also very good and smooth. Front office staffs are very friendly and helpful. The lobby gives a very soothing feeling. The room was really nice, beyond my expectation. It had a fairly luxurious feeling. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. There was a flat screen tv, coffee making facilities, hair dryer, comfortable writing table, bedside telephone and an empty mini bar. The room ambiance gave a very relaxing feeling.
The toilet was also very clean with modern design, but was not as luxurious as the room. Two bath towels were provided but no face and hand towel provided. Soap, shower gel, tooth brush and shaver, etc were provided.
On the whole, i really enjoyed my stay in this hotel which is very comfortable, cosy, clean with a very relaxing environment. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to melaka, let it be leisure or business trip.
And this hotel is situated just walking distance to 2 shopping mall and the famous jonker street and the Hard Rock Cafe. A'famosa fort is also walking distance.

this is newly opened hotel in melaka city. situated next to mahkota parade, above hatten square. nothing to complain about the location as everything is nearby - banks, shopping, 24 hour convenience store.

the lobby is huge and nice. check in was fast n efficient. booked deluxe suite. the room was facing the malacca strait. the room is big with 2 LCD tv. one in the living area and the other in the room. however, since this hotel is still new, there is "NEW" smell. esp on the bed. can't do anything about it. but it gives me headache as i am very sensitive to smell. the bed quality was OK.

the bathroom - no bath tub. just ok. nothing much to be excited about.

the restaurant - went there for tea. ordered black sticky rice. it takes 40 minutes to be served! by that time everybody else finished their tea except me. and can't enjoy it as i have to rush :-(

otherwise, it is a regular new hotel. will come back? not really. prefer mahkota hotel.

Room Tip: ask for room with ocean view. city view if u like to see the hills.

New hotel with good facilities and environment. Check-in and check-out might be a hassle, try to avoid peak period as the "Q" is very long (lots of group business). The room is nice with great layout and the bed / pillow is very comfortable. Amenities provided is very basis - no body lotion, slipper, bath robe, toothbrush (on request), shaver etc. Cleaning standard is a major issue as you can find dust everywhere, finger print, left over from the previous guest, stained in the shower floor, hair on the bathroom floor and dirt on the carpet - I think the Supervisor (who came and see me) and room stewardess need to be re-train. I also find cup and saucer provided in the room is without tea spoon - I wonder how am I going to make coffee / tea? Breakfast is average as most of the dishes is "luke" warm or cool accept for those item prepare on the spot. Selection of items is reasonable and they don't serve pork.

Room Tip: High floor and room facing out instead of facing the empty courtyard.

I suppose for a hotel of this standard, the price is reasonable but if not for my friends, I'd stay somewhere nearer to Jonker Street where shopping is more convenient there. We had to walk about 10 minutes to get to Jonker Street.

I had a junior suite, it is quite spacious. The lifts are horrendous as you need your room card to get up and down from your floor, understandably for security reasons. If you were to go from floor to floor (rather than to lobby) then you could end up taking joy rides up and down the lifts. To make matters worse, some lifts don't travel right down to car parks' floors, so you have to change lifts to get to car park.
