“Nyonya cuisine is exotic!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

I have been there a couple of times. Before going it appears to be a hassle as Mr Lim is a pretty tense person. He insists on knowing the time and will tell us the last order to be taken by a certain time etc. But once we arrive he is a changed person! All friendly and relaxed. The cook Amy is chatty and will recommend her signature Nyonya dishes. We love the asam fish, "jantung" salad, chicken pongteh, steamed ladies' fingers, and pi tee. Have not tried other Nyonya places in Malacca but we are happy to visit this place again, albeit having to overcome our Mr Lim again!

“SPOIL NONYA FOOD IMAGE”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2013

We were at Amy Delight Restaurant 3 days ago for dinner. Owner recommeded us Ayam Pongteh, kangkong with Cabbage masak Lemak, Sambal Udang with Pedai. Shocked to see Ayam Pongteh cooked with Potatoes instead of Bamboo Shoots. Sambal Udang with Pedai looked more like Shrimps with Pedai. Nothing special about their Kobis Kangkong masak Lemak. There's wasn't any taste of Chinchalok in the Chinchalok Omelette except onions. The Portion was quite small and not presentatable and also not cheap, May be those haven't tasted real Nonya Food like from Aunty Lee Restoran nearby Portugese Settement yet will think this is good but I wouldn't mind paying abit more to get eat Authentic Nonya Food instead of eating this disgraceful so called Nonya Food. Not worth it at all.

“Good for big groups but always book in advance”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 29, 2012

Generally the food is above average and the prices are reflective of its quality. Located right in the heart of "downtown", it is well-positioned to attract the hungry who is staying in one of the 5star hotels in the vicinity.

Do reserve well in advance as the owner has the habit of turning people away.

“Best Nyonya Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012

Went there 4 days ago. The owner was friendly. He was not rude like what other claims but he was a passionate babas who love and proud of his authenticity of nyonya food. He introduced and recommended few dishes for us and there were excellent!!
Pai-tee, ayam pongteh, kangkung sambal, petai prawns, kobis kangkung masak lemak, asam fish were superb. Whole family finished all the dishes even the sauce was not spared!!

Cincalok omelete so so.

“Very good Peranakan food!!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012 via mobile

Was there two days ago with our friends, altogether 4 adults and 3 kids. Had ayam pongteh, sambal lady's finger, petai prawns, fried calamari and sambal kangkong which were excellent. Fried chicken wings and cincalok egg were mediocre. It was food cooked and served with sincerity!! All in all a very good meal!
