This place is a must in Melaka, so make sure you give it a try before leaving the city.
We tried the burger and the salmon pasta and both were amazing, and the staffs were super nice.
It's like eating in a Forrest full of art for couple of hours.
Their aquarium-like tables and unique art are just adorable.

I like the lay back and green ambient here. Good place to have a drink or meal after walk around in Jonker street. The pork chop signature Burger is really delicious. If you can drink wine, must try their home made honey wine.

Yes, we’ve seen about every permutation of burgers by this point. The Baboon House is an unsung hero in a world of overstuffed and overpriced burgers.

Inside is a space that more closely resembles a dense garden than a restaurant. Beaten up wooden tables and chairs punctuate grubby shelves and art-strewn walls in a nice natural lush tropical environment.

The basic menu is short, to-the-point and has possibly the best burger readily available to most Malaccans. Baboon special aloha cheeseburger is a delightful assault on the senses. The homemade bun is perfectly soft. The juicy baboon beef patty is thin enough to not be a belly bomb and are accompanied by a profusion of cheddar cheese, grilled cheese, streaky pork bacon and fresh veggies. The Oriental chicken burger was also simple and spot on and the tropical lemongrass drink (lemongrass, lemon and honey) complements the food very well.

You will surely be in zen burger-eating mode. This is the true truth as I say it as it is…

First, it's a great space - interesting, attractive, peaceful, welcoming. And the staff was very good - knew their stuff, friendly, helpful. Dessert was pretty great as well (sticky brownie - and a good one), as was coffee. Finally, the juices and smoothies were good. So for coffee and cake mid afternoon, relaxed and breezy, this is 5 star.

The savory food, on the other hand, is just not good. It's fairly creative but misses the mark in almost every way. I honestly can't understand the positive hamburger comments - it's a square of wildly overspiced meat cooked to well done and smothered under a mass of sauces and toppings. I can see people liking it as an oddball alternative, but the phrase "good burger" seems undeserved. We tried 2 versions and both were consistently overwhelming (spice level and messiness) and underwhelming (flavor and texture) at the same time. Also tried pork belly, which was poorly conceived.

Anyway, I would come back for coffee and juices and dessert for sure. But for lunch, there are far better options.
