If you like to walk around Jonker Street area, you must stay in this hotel. This hotel and cafe staffs are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located at Jonker Street. The Grand Deluxe room is spacious and comes with 2 double bed. The bathroom is well furnished. Must try the Durian Cendol at the end of the Jonker Street...The Tree. And Penang Laksa at Jonker 88 coffee shop.
The hotel wifi can be improved, frequent shutdown. However, i will definately stay at this hotel again.

Before arriving in to Malacca we called them up and request that out rooms to be back of the hotel as not in the front as we found out from TA reviews that it can be noisy at night due to the location of the hotel just right in front of the karaoke stage. But upon arrival, we were told that someone had taken up the back rooms, are we are left with rooms towards the front (close to the stage). I felt this is truly unprofessional of their staffs. This is not what i hope to encounter after reading some reviews about their staff service.

Rooms is ok with basic amenities. One down side of their hotel is the narrow stairs, it must a good thing to preserve the old stairs, but i felt that the management should construct a new and bigger stairs so it will be easy walking up to the next floor.

We were given food voucher that can be use at the cafe next door. The food is not good, i suggest you go out and enjoy all the best foods Malacca could offer. I would strongly recommend jonker 88 for their cendol and laksa. if you would love to try some local breakfast, you could head down the road to this coffee shop selling Chinese noodle "ping ping xiang" if can get very pack at noon time. so try going over earlier.

When I was asked to provide feedback during our checkout, I was trying hard to find at least something for them to improve. But I found None!
Excellent location! Because it was right in the Jonker street. It was just so vibrant and happening to see the activities through our hotel room's window.
As there was a stage right in front of the hotel, therefore after shopping, usually we spent the night at the Jonker Cafe to enjoy the "lounge" singing. It was also a great way to utilise our voucher given by the boutique. We were delighted to found out that we could use the voucher anytime of the day. The "Lime and Plume Juice" was excellent. My friend drank 1 - 2 glasses at the cafe a day.

Excellent Service! When we were enquiring about nearby churches through the front desk Staff "Kay". He was helpful, and through his recommendation we managed to attend church service and he had arranged the church member to fetch us to the church.
Amy was also friendly and helpful to supply us any information we enquired. You just have that feeling that you are staying in a "Ming Shu - Home Stay" that you can strike an easy conversation with her. I always look forward to see her each day at the front desk.

My friend did struggle a bit to climb up to the 2nd floor. But I just treated it as a good exercise after filling up with so much Peranakan food and chendol. But of course, if you have elderly family member, have an advance request to stay at the first level.

Restaurant - The Good: "Nancy" Restaurant.
The Bad - There was a coffee shop (i think is Jonker 88) which was always crowded, but their food was really ordinary and below par.

I love the brightness of the lobby design compared to "Courtyard" and "Baba house" which was quite "dark".
I love that I can chose which room I want to stay as it was listed clearly at the hotel website.
It was an excellent choice that we have made to stay in this boutique.

Exterior of Jonker Boutique Hotel got us worried at first sight but instantly felt at home after we walked into it.
We were met by friendly staff, the rooms were squeaky clean and the pillows had the right height and plush, the staff were very approachable and helpful, allowed early check-in/late check-out (we went on a Tuesday when all the weekend crowds were gone) + free parking.
Online booking less than 24 hrs before check-in was also a breeze. We paid only upon check out.
There was als a RM10 discount coupon given per room for breakfast at the cafe next door but we didnt find the half boiled eggs and toast to be very up to standard so would recommend going elsewhere along Jonker street for breakfast instead which were inexpensive anyway.
We were given directions and recommendations on where to go eat, shop and sight see by the lovely and patient ladies at the reception. So do feel to ask them if u have problem getting to places.
The only 'problem' was this was an old building so no lift allowed to be installed so we had to climb up the stairs to our rooms on the 3rd floor. But thank goodness the hotel provide helpers to bring our heavy luggage up.
When my friends called to say they had forgotten to retrieve their passports from the safe, the hotel reception, Jasmine, immediately arranged & paid a coach driver to deliver their passports safely to JB bus terminal for their collection, hence saved them the 3 hrs drive back to Malacca in the night. We were very grateful to her and the hotel management for such an excellent service.
Will sure be back to this hotel when we visit Malacca the next time.

Booked 3 rooms and was hassel free, easy checking-in. Additinal bed requested are all in rooms, Rooms are clean, I booked the grand delux, it is good for children play around. Although the karaoke sound really loud but they stop at 1030pm. so still OK. Recommend stay on level 1 if stay with old parent as there is no lift. Safe private parking. Wonderful staffs, they even help us to pay traffic fine which we got it from carpark near to Cheng Ho temple. and wanted to return us the RM25 since they manage to paid the fine Rm5 (if paid within 24 hours) but we decided to let the staff keep as a token.
Good location, no transport needed as it spot on the night market 'Jonker Walk'. hassle free from finding carpark lots, can see all other lane are pack with vehicel looking for carpark. As we travelled with many children and old parents is so much easier to go back to hotel after sweaty walk.
We were given food voucher for our breakfast meal at the cafe next door they serve simple kaya/butter breads and eggs also serve local noodle. But my sister like the wan tan noodle next door better.

Nice rooms but can be noisy if you are at the front - I found the noise level fine for sleeping b. The beds are good and the decor is nice. Pillows are very high and I ended up with a sore neck by morning which was quite annoying. The smaller rooms have a shower over bath set up that have a big step to get into which would be difficult for unsteady people.
The "breakfast" is a voucher for the cafe next door which is valid any time of the day and as the cafe doesn't open until 9am you may want look elsewhere for breakfast (not that many places seemed to open early)! Cafe does have free internet access for guests which is nice.

We had a 2 night stay at the hotel with my mum, hubby and my toddler son. The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of Jonker Street where the good food and few attractions are. It was a wise choice to stay in the hotel as the area was really crowded and traffic was heavy. We would spend time on the car in a jam if we had to drive in and out of the place. In the weekend evening, the street was closed off and little stalls were set up. Great food and good bargains are around. The hotel is so convenient that we could go back for my son's nap and go down quickly to get a bite. The famous local snacks shop was just opposite, so we grabbed many boxes of the snacks before the queue formed. Besides the location, the room was clean and nicely furnished. The wooden floor felt great, as compared to hotels with carpeted floors.

The only dislike we had was the karaoke stage right in the square beside the hotel. The karaoke music and singing were so loud that the room trembled with the drum bass. As our son slept early, it was quite unpleasant to sleep in the room while the karaoke went on. Fortunately, he was able to sleep soundly.

My other family members and friends who have chosen the other facing were not disturbed by the loud music. We would have made the same request for room facing the other side if we had known earlier as we had a kid with us. If we are not travelling with our kid, we would have walked around the night market until late at night and returned to the room after the karaoke ended. Then the music would not have bothered us at all.

Overall, a nice experience. Nice hotel, friendly staff and great location.
