“Good value for money”

Relatively new hotel on famous Jonker Street in Malacca, understandably opened just about 2 years ago. Within 3-5 mins walking distance to the shops and eating places on Jonker Street, but away from the crowd. Free parking provided by the hotel is definitely greatly appreciated in Jonker area. Nice and clean rooms. Slight reminder is for families with the elderly who may find it a challenge to walk up the stairs. But in such instances, just try to ask and make sure you get rooms on the first floor. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. Also there seems to be a karaoke across the street, so if you are a light sleeper, try asking for rooms towards the back of the building instead.

The hotel is very clean and i love the wallpaper !
The staffs are very friendly who doesn't hesitate to provide guidance too.

Location is very good esp if staying over weekend when the buzzing night market along JOnker Walk starts. However, there will be a centre stage for oldies Karaoke until 11pm at night, which is fine if you don't sleep early.

It is also walking distance to Stadhuys and Malacca River.
Not very far (abt 15min walk) to the Dataran Pahlawan shopping mall - huge and very good shopping.

Really nice boutique hotel. Our 'standard' room was large, well appointed and clean. Bed was a bit hard and we could hear the elephant-footed people staying above us a little too well.

Perfectly located for checking out Chinatown, staff was professional, knowledgable and referred us to some of THE BEST dim sum in town.

My uncle arranged for us to stay here to prepare for our Chinese wedding, held in Malacca after our Australian wedding. The staff did a wonderful job, arranging everything via e-mail. In addition, we had very romantic gestures added to our room - double happiness stickers on the door and above the bed, rose petals, flowers, a bottle of wine and a full bath complete with rose petals! The hotel staff also arranged the trishaw driver to take my (now) husband to my grandma's house in preparation for our tea ceremony. Nothing was too difficult for the staff, who also pointed out the next morning that our little ceremony had made the back page of the Chinese newspaper! Fantastic location, particularly for those coming to Malacca to check out the touristy things - Jonker Walk is full of history, close to temples, and close to the Peranakan Museum. The hotel is safe, with the desk staffed at night and a key drop facility available if you don't want to take your key out with you on the town. Beautifully furnished with incredibly comfortable beds, and an air con to cool even the hottest people down.

Location is fantastic, right in the middle of the historical chinatown, close to most of the sights you might want to see in Melaka. Rooms are very spacious, with a huge and comfortable bed. The stylish design really classifies it as a boutique hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed just one night but really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

We stayed at the Jonkers for two nights and had a great time. The location is right in the area where the Chinese market is set up and it bustles with life. Walk out of the door and there are so many cafes and restaurants with a couple of minutes walk that you are spoilt for choice. The hotel is quiet and traditional and feels family run. If you want an upmarket boutique hotel as a base to explore Malacca and being right in the Chinese sector then this is it. And pretty good value for money too. Nice rooms all very well decorated and excellent bathrooms.

A very convenient place to stay: do not be worried about the hilarious karaoke stage at Jonker Walk, which shuts down at 11. Good and convenient car park, which is a blessing. Rooms large and light, though a little sparsely furnished. Bathroom fine. But not quite boutique: toiletries are a little basic; no teaspoons with the cups and sachets of instant coffee (and why provide horrible instant coffee when the Aik Cheong coffee roaster, the very best of Malaysian coffee, is just across the street ?), no bathrobe (indeed, no wardrobe), that sort of thing. None of this matters at all, but for the sake of having saved a couple of ringgit it slightly takes the edge off the the package, and makes it seem fine rather than lovely.
