You will not see any sign board named "Peranakan House" but "Restoran Peranakan" outside the main entrance.
I must say the Peranakan interior of this restaurant is really charming. I feel comfortable at the waiting area because it is spacious and cooling with fan operating overhead. The furnitures at the waiting area are antique, there is even a handcrafted marriage carriage. You will likely see people busy taking pictures while waiting to dine inside.
We ordered ayam buah keluak, Nyonya chap chye and taufu Peranakan..costa out 27 ringgit. I think it is quite reasonably charged. The ayam buah keluak is quite ok but nothing too special. The other 2 dishes taste quite bland. Maybe, those are not their specialities.
Not sure if I will be back again because I find it difficult to walk under the afternoon sun to this restaurant. No proper pavement along the stretch of shop houses and need to be careful of the traffic and avoiding those cars that parked outside the shop fronts and open drain.
