好吃又干净. Went with both my baby boy since they supply clear soup for kids. Like their satay kuah and the way they handle the food. The lady boss is friendly .

The best and clean Satay Celup in Malaka. Like it because the have both satay and chicken/pork base soup for kids!! No need to think much (when you wish to eat something spicy but you have to think for your kids). Both environment cleanliness and service is excellent. Food is fresh and clean.

Situated about a fifteen minutes walk from the touristy Jonker Walk, this restaurant is located on Jalan Bunga Raya which is well known to the locals for some of Melaka's best street foods.

The restaurant is in a typically Malaysian style shophouse and basically operates on a no-frills dining concept. The whole dining experience is about the food and not the frills, although the owner also works there, and so you can expect the best service ever from him. If you are unsure about how to order, or how the food is to be eaten (you do the cooking yourself), he'd more than happy to explain it to you.

To cut to the chase, it's a self service dining where you pick your skewers from the fridges by the wall which are used to keep the food fresh. The selection include various kinds of vegetables, mushrooms, meat, seafood etc. The minimum order is Rm 15 which entitles you to 15 skewers. Each additional skewer is charged at Rm 1. So, if you help yourself to 20 skewers, you pay Rm 20. But if you are a small eater and take only 10 skewers, you will still be charged Rm 15.

A pot containing a satay sauce on one side and a soup on the other is placed on the centre of the table, underneath which is a stove to heat these up for you to cook your skewered food. Peanut powder is added to the satay sauce for that extra oomph, and if you like it hot, chilli would be added. For children...that's the reason for the soup, so if they cannot eat spicy stuff, they can cook these in the soup. By the way, the soup is very tasty, and I actually drank it while cooking my food in the spicy satay sauce. And yes, I drank some satay sauce as well. It was super delicious.

According to Mr Lim, he's the owner, the sauce and soup are made using Kangen Water, which is believed to be good for health. And both are made using his own special recipe. As I was curious about this Kangen Water, Mr Lim brought me behind the dining area where he showed me the equipment which he used for making this water. But importantly, I not only saw the Kangen Water making equipment but also a very neat and clean preparation area. Cleanliness and hygienic kitchen practices are always every customer's concern, right?

Highly recommended if EATING is one reason why you travel. I will definitely return the next time I visit Melaka. A budget of Rm 15 - 20 per person would be about right, and if you are in a group of 3 or 4 (or more), you can order much more variety. Pricey? It depends on how much you eat. It's satay after all.
