Worth a try if u love Nonya dishes. Their signature prawn and pineapple curry dish is really fragrant and smooth. Dishes feel really home cook and not too powering in taste.

Fish - Assam fish moderate nothing that could wow its patron
Turmeric chicken - Soggy and sweet with Tumeric taste
Ladies finger was great but sambal was a bland one
Sambal - a disappointment thought it was not really bad but I expect Nyonya sambal to be great
The only special dish was petai with squid. Overall was just average.
Staff was plenty but all serve with no heart.

Thank Aidanaj

My wife and I visited Nyonya Makko as some reviews highly recommended. We walk in around 11.30 with reservation, there are only one table with customers, business is just normal even after we finished our meal 1 hour later. Food taste is also just average and quite salty with some dishes. The only thing I like is the Cendol with quite thick of Gula Melaka, staff is consider friendly, and the Perenakan's decor inside the restaurant.

Located on a street where almost every other shop is a restaurant, we came here as some of our group have eaten here before. Since we arrived at lunch time, had to wait outside before they could get us a table.

We ordered some of the dishes based on their recommendations - pineapple prawns, sambal fish, kangkung belacan, cencalok eggs, ayam ponteh, otak-otak, etc. Overall, it was just average - for an established that is packed with patrons, I expected better-tasting food. Have tasted better ones elsewhere.

However, the cendol was the saving grace - it was fragrant and tasty.

Overall, a bit pricey. Could have gotten better food elsewhere for the price we pay.

It's not one of the more famous nyonya restaurants in malacca and wasn't our first choice but we ate here as it was located near where we were staying but we were pleasantly surprised.
Food was good overall with the buah keluak, fried chicken and sambal seabass being well cooked.
Price of the meal was reasonable and I would return in future.
