This is not the 1st time I went there for meal.

Everything is self service, price seems to be expensive compared to other food stall.

Very crowded and not enough place to sit.

The quality of food is not as good as previous.

Good to go there for their food. Though there were reviews that it was very touristic and an overhype, I would still recommend this place to any one who is new to Malacca

I tried the Baba Laksa two weeks ago and found that it was far below expectation. Even the non famous laksa is much better than this one! Everything is self-service in Jonker 88 but the shop charge 20% of tax on the food (more expensive than the 5 star hotel). This is too much because there is zero service provided and the environment is bad and hot. I felt being cheated and fooled. Please don't be the next victim!!!

My second visit. The standard of the Cendol here is terrible, much worse than my first try 1yr ago. The Gula is tasteless, no coconut milk taste in the ice. Few miserable beans in the small bowl, and messy and dirty tables n floor with nobody to clean up.

Also try the Assam Laksa this time. Taste average and feel that other cafes serve better laksa...

Very overrated. Do not recommend this St all.

Locate your table, then station one of your party at the table while the other(s) go & get the food they want...buffet style.
We went for lunch & had to share our table for the first part of the meal...a nice way to chat to the locals anyway.
The main meals are all noodle-based & as authentic as we've ever sampled.
The atmosphere is home spun...a walk through the kitchens to your dining table under an open air atrium.
Excellent value for money...the emphasis placed on the food.....not the overheads
