“Popular joint for chendol”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 29, 2012 via mobile

This coffee shop is a popular joint along Jonker Walk, famous for its Chendol. Surprisingly, they offer excellent Assam laksa. You should avoid crowd during meal hours.

“Great Assam Laksa and Chendol”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 24, 2012

This quaint little shop starts serving as early as 9.30am but was closed on a Sunday night when I was there . The assam laksa is a must try, it tastes very close to Penang assam laksa but with addtional ingredients such as tau pok and egg, and chendol was just amazing with ice shavings glazed with thick gula melaka and creamy santan that just cool and delights on a hot day.

“Best Meleka Laska”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

This place serves the best laksa I've had in Malaysia. The gravy is thick and spicy and the ingredients are fresh. The chendol is good too.
What is most interesting about Jonker 88 is that its walls are decorated with dollar notes from different countries. You can also find portraits of Mao Tze Dong and Chiang Kai Shek on the walls too.

“Great laksa.....and cendol”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2012

They serve wonderful laksa from morning but please go early to avoid disappointments as the queue can get pretty long.......especially during weekends. Nyonya laksa and cendol is a surefire hit among the customers.
