Malaysia is a place just bursting with great food from every corner of the globe, so if you want something good to eat at a fair price it shouldn't be hard. I had read the reviews for geographer cafe prior to going there and dismissed the bad ones as people being a bit picky. I have worked in customer service for 8 years so I'm normally lenient when it comes to the staff in stores or restaurants, but my god. ONE AND A HALF Hours! after we initially ordered, my wife lost her rag and went to complain. The time was 1pm on a Saturday afternoon and the cafe was not even at half capacity. There seemed to be two people taking orders and one person standing behind the bar doing very little. Someone took our order after fifteen minutes (fine if you are busy) then it took a further twenty minutes for our two iced coffees to arrive. We then sat for fifty minutes or so while everyone around us was brought food (albeit very slowly) and we appeared to be invisible. The final straw was when someone on the table behind us who had only been there for about twenty minutes was served the exact thing my wife ordered.
We decided to complain and ask if our food was even coming because at this point we would prefer to just leave. The waitress my wife spoke to said in quite an accusing tone "you haven't even ordered anything". Well why do we have knives and forks in front of us and why are there empty glasses on out table. She shrugged and we left having not paid for the drinks we didn't order or drink in the hour and a half we wasted in this average looking overpriced cafe.
We then went to restauran saranavan for a South indian meal and we're served amazing food immediately which cost a quarter of the geographers cafe. Actual geographers should use a map and find somewhere decent to eat instead.
