Had a late lunch at Nancy's on Saturday, basically because it was just around the corner from the Courtyard @Heeren where we were checking in. We last ate there four years ago, though we've been coming up to Malacca at least once a year in the meantime. It was busy, but we got our table for 6 in the front room after about a 20 minute wait. Turnover was quite fast and tables for four were available sooner.
The menu looked tempting, especially as it had pork dishes, unlike all the other Peranakan restuarants I have tried in Malacca. The kuay pie tee was good, and the pohpiah ok. But the main dishes didn't do it - the shiokometer barely budged. Those unfamiliar with Nonya cuisine may come away impressed. We remembered why we hadn't been back for four years.
