“A very isolated beach area”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

If you find your way to Turtle beach its really a special place to come to. Long and empty piece of beach stretching north and south. No sun umbrellas, hardly any visitors, and if you are lucky you will see the traces of the big turtles coming up in the nights to nest.

“Quiet and Relaxing”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Very quiet and relaxing, there is very little to do, so make sure you take plenty of supplies, if you want peace and quiet this is your place!

“If you like partying, this is NOT the place for you...”
Reviewed May 15, 2013

Galgibaga or Galgibagh or Turtle Beach is a long stretch of unspoilt coastline (the law prevents construction too close to the water's edge as this is a beach where the Olive Ridley Turtle comes to lay its eggs) in South Goa. There are a handful of family run restaurants just off the sea strand along this km of peaceful beach. Forest Rangers protect the turtle nests by preventing rowdy behaviour and night time parties with beach fires. Do go there, but go quietly...!!!!

There are no hotels on this beach as its a Turtle Conservation area. 6 of us went in for a swim and were not disappointed. One of the best beaches in south goa
