My wife and i got invited for an indian wedding in this grand fantastic resort , we had the best of times , the resort itself is huge , a golf course , rooms are spaciuos , pool is nice , and food was great , the only drawback thats its far away from both the airport and the main city attractions .

Stayed 5 nights at this hotel for a wedding celebration. Hotel room was very spacious and the pool area and gardens ample. Service was good but not excellent although this could be due to the number of people at the weddings (there was a second wedding at the same time). Unfortunately, there were a lot of bugs (cockroaches or crickets) in the corridors at night perhaps because of the monsoon season. The hotel is located very far from any town so you are pretty stranded at the resort. OK for total relax but not if you are looking for a bit of fun. Look for a hotel in the north end of Goa for this.

Intercontinental Goa is not run directly by the Intercontinental group but rather by some Bharat Hotels, which explains most of the negatives.

IC Goa seems to be quite famous for weddings so if you are planning a quiet, nice holiday, please head somewhere else. Being busy with weddings, they dont seem to care for individual guests, service is average, restaurants full and extremely noisy with wedding groups of 100 or more. Rooms were spacious and food acceptable.

Also had a hard time convincing the front desk that my booking was already paid-for, which they somehow did not initially find.

Being a frequent traveller, I have stayed at quite a few IC properties but the service here is one of the worst. Never again here.....

We visited a friend staying at the hotel. Our friends were planning a huge wedding at the hotel. Hotel is beautiful, however the beach staff are very aggressive. They .charged us for a wind surf sail already broken. Sandeep, the guy who works there and his colleagues were ready to fight us with hockey sticks.

When asked for the General Manager, no help was offered and we had to pay.

We were very surprised with the service standards as Intercontinental are re-nowned for extremely high service standards.

Please be careful when you use the wind surf.

Apart from this incident, a great hotel on a private beach.

We stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our holiday. Very different hotel from North Goa. The rooms were very big and so was the hotel.

This hotel is on its own and very remote. You need to get in a cab to Palolem to get any restaurants or small bars.

It is situated on a quiet beach where you are not bothered by any hawkers.

Did not try the restaurants as there were cheaper outside. The sports bar band entertainment was abit painful!

Great if you want to chill and do nothing

Very, very expensive for what was an average stay. Admittedly, we visited last few days of October and season was just about to start, but the restaurants were overpriced for the quality and there was not a lot to do. Nice rooms though. Overall - an ok place to stay, but much better value for money is on offer elsewhere on this coast.

Just returned from 2 fantastic weeks at the intercontinental. We found the staff very helpful and friendly. Sometimes things took a while but that didn't bother us cos we where relaxed on holiday. Yes its quiet but you can go to Palolem for approx £1 in a tuk tuk and we did this every evening and then came home to enjoy the spacious rooms and lovely hotel.
The pool was not that clean but ok.
It was our first time in India so I don't have anything to compare it with but we thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it. There are a lot of russians staying at the hotel and we didn't experience any problems with conferences we only had 2 small ones which didn't affect us.
