Found a number of disappointing features about this hotel. First, there were a number of amenities closed due to monsoon. I get closing the outdoor stuff, but closing all but one restaurant? Second, the food quality was uninspired and buffet choices were limited, at least by way of comparing to other 5 star hotels. Third, Some maintenance items were disappointing. The mold in the underhangs on the balcony was not good. Fourth, internet service was difficult to access, required service (and 30+ minutes) to get online, and was absurdly expensive. Fifth, the credit card system had problems, and I was left sitting for over 20 minutes. Finally, I should have looked at a map... this is one of the most remote resorts... almost as far south in Goa as you can get, and about 90 minutes to the airport and most of the beaches you'll want to see (my fault, but worth noting)

On the good side, rooms were spacious, staff was friendly, and the concierge was helpful arranging a sightseeing day for me. Also, the pool area looked very nice.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for sparing time and posting your review of our hotel on Trip Advisor.

We operate 3 restaurants to suit the requirements of all guests. The Canacona Restaurant is 24hours all day dining, the Sea bq is open for lunch and dinner and is a specialty steak & seafood grill and Sirocco is open for cocktails and dinner and is a Mediterranean restaurant. It seems that our team did not completely make you aware of all the restaurants available and for this lapse I apologize.

Pursuant to your feedback, we have had a detailed meeting with the concerned departments, the management of the hotel has taken serious cognizance of your points and are extremely regretful about it. I wish to assure you that we are taking corrective steps to ensure that these incidents may be avoided.

I am pleased to note that you enjoyed your room and our friendly/helpful staff at the hotel.

Your feedback is valuable to us and helps us in our endeavor of constant improvement. Your patronage to our group is of great value, and we look forward to being able to welcome you back to InterContinental The Lalit Goa Resort and experience the difference.

Warm regards,
Paloma Quadros

Extremely well appointed rooms, nice swimming pool though the max. depth is only 5 feet. Good food and a VERYYYYY long private beach - about 1km.
It is a good getaway but if you want to party I would recommend putting up somewhere in North Goa.
A place ideally for family holidays. You can only enjoy the hotel and a couple of nice beaches at some distance from the hotel.

We were on a marriage of our friends family for three days . It wes a great experience . It was a perfect combo of all ...comfortable stay ..good food .. excelent house keeping and room service and spa ..a memorable experience.

Room Tip: Although all rooms are good but room faceing to sea side or pool side are little more liked.

The service is bad but i shall forgive them as it is a well spread hotel.

The food which is the most important for a holiday to be a hit was not edible..
It was not stale food but FOOD DID NOT LOOK WHAT IT WAS NAMED AND DEFINITELY NEVER TASTED IT'S NAME.
The cooks i am sure are picked from some alley or gully but not from bombay as the bombay road food is far better than this food .

I think these people should out source their food or start asking the guest to fend for themselves....keep this hotel as a bed and breakfast only hotel as the breakfast was always ok specially the south indian breakfast was the only saviour in this MOST SECLUDED hotel

Room Tip: All rooms are huge and good

Stayed at The Lalit from 23rd to 25th June 2011. It is a very beautiful property with it's own private beach.

The rooms are huge so are the bathrooms. With 40" flat panel TV. The rooms have a breathtaking view.

One downside is it's distance from the airport, about 1.5 hrs drive. The second strange things is there is no free WIFI! There is a charge of Rs 250 per hour. When worldwide even moderate hotels provide free internet there is no logic for The Lalit to charge.

Otherwise would recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: Opt for a seaview room
