We are in our 60s and stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a fabulous tour of South India with another couple of similar age. This accommodation was chosen for us by our guide at Summit Safaris India and was a great choice. We were older by a fair bit than most people there but it didn't matter. We were at the front, just behind the bar, in rooms 105 and 106. Yes there is music into the night but that didn't worry me and anyway they were happy to play my music from the iPod and being so close meant they were happy to bring beers and cocktails to the verandahs - bonus!! The rooms were large and comfortable - not luxurious but that didn't matter. The hot water was indeed a problem - non existent some of the time and difficult the rest but the weather was warm so lukewarm bucket baths were fine. The staff was great. Raj, the Manager was very hospitable and we appreciated his kindness. The food was so good we didn't go anywhere else - the fresh seafood every night fabulous and the Goan Fish Curry to die for and by Australian standards the food was very cheap - two huge lobsters freshly cooked on the BBQ for about $30. By the end I was wandering around in a hippy skirt and jangling anklets remembering the70s but also it was so close for great water sports including the kayaking. I loved it but don't expect luxury - it's just bloody good fun.

Room Tip: The luxury rooms at the front have AC and great position but there is a lot of music noise if that t...

We stayed for three nights, and I do have to say am a bit surprised of the generally rave reviews if this place. :)

On a positive note - the location is really great, with a location just on the beach and close to restaurants, other bars etc. Sunbeds are provided. We were allowed to check in really early at no extra cost which was great.

The huts are really average. We stayed one night in an AC-one, and remaining two in the famous 101 with sea view. 4950 rupees per night! It's a scam. No AC. Very poor coolers. Very rickety bed and poor bathroom and shower. Seriously overpriced. Our room wasn't cleaned during the entire stay. Staff - really so so. Nothing amazing.
Food very average - we tried a lot of different dishes, nothing too exciting.

Spend the same amount and stay at Ciarans just next door and enjoy better rooms and great food.

The room was a really good size and appeared to be one of the best looking huts on the beach (we checked out some £15 a night huts and they all very very depressing) However on closer inspection it lacked quality and wasn't well maintained for the price. 'Cairan's' and 'Art resort' both looked great for the same price.

Pro's:
Great location (central to beach and five mins to main high street)
Lovely staff
Perfect view to beach
Hot water
Plenty of space

Con's
Far too expensive - we paid approx £57 per night for room 101 (no AC but with the best view) our friends stayed at Cuba's other resort 'Blue' five mins down the beach - same view, with AC for £25 less than us!

Bugs - I found a dead cockroach on my arrival in the shower area so I went to buy some cockroach spray to blast room and consequently found 6 dead cockroaches in the room throughout the week. The staff were very helpful and offered us another room but we wanted to keep it for the amazing view and we thought the spray would kill them the first time round - (it took 3 attempts!) The staff said it was the palm tree in the middle of our room which was bringing in the bugs (and couple of spiders which I didn't mind)

I would perhaps suggest if you want to stay here to risk booking a couple of nights and then negotiate a better price for the rest of your stay.

If you don't like bugs, beach huts are not for you (all the beach huts on the whole beach had plenty of gaps and holes perfect for little creatures!!)

Room 101 was the honeymoon suite but I would be disappointed if I stayed here for mine, it had no AC which became unbearable esp at night as the cooler systems provided were very noisy.

We had a lovely time on Palolem beach - its a really beautiful beach with a fab silent disco on a Sat night at Neptune Point ; ) however Cuba Premium bungalows are just too expensive for the quality of the rooms.

Room Tip: We picked 101 for the perfect view however it has no A/C which became almost unbearable when its ver...

GREAT PLACE. Stayed in Cuba for only :( three nights with my wife and two small children. When booked the place we were afraid how the kids will take the beach hut experience .We all absolutely LOVED IT. The beach is nice and clean, the huts location is perfect also the food was quite good , the bar STAFF were extremely nice and friendly- THANK YOU ALL .The bungalows are quite spacious and clean with a big bed that could accommodate all four of us,without the need for extra bedding. Our bungalow was on the front so in the evening after we had the kids gone to bed it was possible for us just to sit at the bar sip a drink and enjoy the music the people and the beautiful view of all the candlelights in the dark. The market street was just at the back with plenty of lovely shops and restaurants. During our holiday we stayed at three different locations across GOA and Palolem is by far our favourite place. If we had the chance we would of stay more days but had a prepaid booking for another place at Betal batim beach that we couldn’t cancel .Anyway we ll definitely go back again. :)

Room Tip: If you want a see view only one of the bungalows has the clear see view undisturbed by the bar /rest...

Great place, some other places down the beach that look better but as far a staff and location u cudnt argue at all. If I was to stay again ask for premium beach hut 101 it's by far has the best view. A really great place to eat too, not over priced and by far some of the best sea food u will eat.

Stayed here for 9 nights towards the end of the season with my wife. The bungalows are so comfortable and clean, it's really more like staying in a nice hotel room than a beach hut. I personally think it is worth the reasonably small extra price to pay for such a huge difference in comfort.

We had A/C, a really big bed, overhead fan, seperate toilet, shower and washing area. House keeping came when requested and freshened up the room and all of the staff are super nice and extremely helpful especially Raj, a great guy.

We had great views of the beach and sea from our furnished porch.

After checking out all of the other A/C hut options on Palolem this is by far the nicest option and gives best value for money.

Would highly recommend and return in a heartbeat!

A great place to relax and unwind after many weeks of travel around India.
