Change between the sea and the laguna, to refresh.
Take a kaik to explore the river.
Eat in front of the laguna or the sea, or both.
Feel that you discovered a paradise.

Personally speaking, I found this beach as the best location in Goa to Chillax!!.
I would say its not a perfect beach, in that sense Agonda and Mandrem would beat this location any day. Yet, this is the most awesome place, I found in Goa!!

Negatives first:

(Actually I want to give Zero stars to this place, as i want this treasure to remain hidden, unexplored forever, as the way i saw it.
It is one of the places which have remained, still untouched, (close to zero) commercialised and have their beauty intact. I don't want to actually tell people, that it is indeed a good place but, as a true reviewer I cannot do injustice to Tripadvisor members.)

So these are the honest and true opinion about why you should NOT go there:-

1. You will not find much crowd here, no music., no trance and actually not much fun activities to do. You will find only two odd restaurants or bars. If you are looking for the above things..head to Anjuna.

2. If you are looking for beach face, I would say there are better places like Palolem - Agonda in south, Arambol up north.

3. The approach road is a really bad, It is actually not a road only. From the main state roads, you will have to drive (two wheelers preferred) on about 4 km trail (with no directions obviously) to get there. Then you have climb down a bit to reach beach. So older people, kids, families, you will not find the access to the beach a comfortable one.

4. If you are thinking about this place, only to visit the sweet water lagoon etc, and you do not wish to take the trouble of the approach road etc. or coming down south in Goa. Head to Arambol, the approach is easy and there is sweet water lake too.

5. There's absolutely nothing to do post sunset.

6. This place is for Travelers and not tourists.

If all of the above things have not discouraged you (and mind you, the above things are actually true about this place) and you still want to head to heaven, then here's Why?

1. The beautiful sweet water lagoon with the backdrop of coconut trees, you will not find such a picturesque place, easily in Goa. I am uploading a picture to give you a glimpse.

2. Go there, if you want to do nothing, just bask in sun, spend time with yourself, partner. read a book. And then afterwards, take a swim in the sea and later, freshen up with swimming in sweet water lagoon. I must tell you the lagoon is deep, so non-swimmers, please be careful.

3. There's nothing to do here (If you are nature lover and on a holiday, you actually want to do nothing, so it is an advantage too).

4. A very less crowded place, so you can be with yourself.

5. A less commercialised place (it is an advantage too for few of us).

Some important points about this place:-

1. About kayaking in the lagoon, its not much of excitement or adventure doing it in still water. But if you are a beginner and you want to try your hand at Kayaking, then you must try here. you can practise well because of still water as it is very easy. I must mention, there are a lot of places in south Goa., where you can kayak in sea. I must mention, there are no commercial agents who are offering Kayaking service (as in other beaches). Its actually a complimentary (free) services for those, who are staying at the beach huts over there. These hoteliers have places two three odd Kayaks over there. But if you are a visitor, and the Kayaks are not being used by their guests. They will let you use them for charges of 200 to 400 per hour (depending on your bargaining).

2. Staying at this place:- There are only three four operators, who are providing beach huts as well as restaurants over here. As this place is a bit cut off, the cost of accommodation as well as meals is on the higher side. If you go through Internet booking, you will find the huts pricing over 6000 INR to 10000 INR range (including meals in some cases) depending in which season you are travelling. If you just land up there, you can bargain up to 2500 INR to 3000 INR to stay for a night. But, that depends on whether there's a not-booked place available.

So Travellers, what to do?

I would suggest you stay at Agonda Beach, where you can find beach huts in 1000-2000 range. Hire a scooty from there (or if you are like me, you can hire a scooty from railway station itself for all of Goa).

Its just ten Kms up north from Agonda and you can do a day trip to this place and come back in the evening to Agonda, as Agonda offers variety (cheaper/ costlier/ tastier) options of meals. Also, when you go over there, you can inquire about availability of huts, and if it is available, then you can stay there over night or few nights.

Last thing - the season is from Nov to March. Otherwise it is very Hott!!

P.S. Please if you are going there :- Ensure, you leave it untouched !!!!

Sparse population, with excellent food (only 2 or 3 shacks are there). kayaking facility available in the backwaters - they charge Rs. 300 for an hour ride.

We stayed a Blue Lagoon for two nights in a Rajhistani tent. We found it quite busy during the day, however as dusk depends so does the peace. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and what a place to do it. Gorgeous food in a romantic setting. We will remember this little bit of paradise forever.
