Beautiful setting, away from noise and other beach huts. We had a hut with an attached bathroom - very basic and a bit expensive compared to other places but I think you pay extra for the tranquility. We didn't mind seeing one frog in the bathroom but checked out when the hut, our bags and even the bed became infested! I'm not sure if this was the case with everyone's hut or just ours!

Nice, calm place just north of Palolem beach. You reach it from the beach via a narrow bridge. At high tide the northern end of the beach is almost flooded which means you have to be prepared to get your feet wet (for instance when you've had dinner at one of the other restaurants and come walking back in the dark). The restaurant, bar and overall service is good and friendly. We got a hut without attached bathroom so it was very basic, but the common toilets and showers are kept very clean. Can be cold at night in January.

Ordo Sounsar is the perfect place to stay in Palolem. I have never stayed in a hut before and was a bit apprehensive, but this was an amazing expierience! The setting is beautiful, with the beach seconds away. The restaurant bar area is perfect, with amazing food. The huts are basic but have all you need and are very clean. You have power, beds with mosquito nets and an open top bathroom so you can shower under the stars! The showers are cold and you get the odd visit from a frog, but even I got used to this!! Also at night, we did find it could get rather cold, so bring a hoody to wear to bed!! The staff were more than helpful and everything was done to make out stay a great one, overall making this the perfect place to stay!

this is the best place to stay on Palolem beach if you want peace and quiet, good local food and a great atmosphere. I spent two weeks here with my children,4 and 6 and they had a lovely time, they did spend a lot of time crossing the rickety bridge and looking at the fish! I would totally recommend Ordo Sounsar to anyone contemplating a trip to Goa.

Room Tip: a room on stilts overlooking the river is the best option

Ordo Sounsar was the perfect stay while our visit to busy Palolem !!

With Hippy pictures painted in our mind we arrived in Palolem (south goa) to only find out that a former crazy-hippy cliche beach got turned into a very crowded russian and aussie populated beach more resembling the party/drinking scene in ibiza or koh samui than the beautiful laid back coast of india. Well i guess thats how it goes everywhere...

Ordo Sounsar was at the very far north end of the beach outside of all the noise and hassle from the beach. The Owners are sweet and very helpful, the food in the own restaurant is amazing and the basic beach huts are everything you need for a proper stay.

We will definitely be back next year for another visit !!

Room Tip: Basic Huts are totally fine
