“Good location but PATHETIC service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

I was in d hotel for 2 days in october.. Well into the season... the service provided us pathetic esp if u book standard rooms..Even standard service was missing in this hotel.. It sort of spoils ur vacation if u have to call d reception every 10 mins.. It seemed like all their services like toileteries breakfast hot water in wash rooms are only for villas booking. Beware before u book this hotel. The place is nice if they improve d service they ll make a good hotel..

Reaching the resort could be a wee bit difficult, as it is in one of the small by-lanes. If you ask for directions, you will be led to it.
It will take a 5-minute private & beautiful pathway walk from the resort for you to be on Baga beach. Once you are on the beach through the pathway- you can walk on either sides- with Calangute on one side and the rest of Baga on the other. This is quite like being amidst both the beaches. To reach either ends, it would be around 45-50 mins walking on the beach.
Rooms: The base category rooms are small/just about average size. They had deluxe rooms which were slightly large, but had the typical furniture. Rooms were clean. Furnishings were clean too.
Around the resort - Very quaint and minimalist. The swimming pool was clean. Though in the evenings, there are bound to be mosquitoes. Some of the areas in the resort was under renovation.
Their restaurant had very less food options. And food was not all that great of whatever we ordered - especially starters and sandwiches. But then, if you are on the move, there are many places to eat around including a Subway!
The local market is within 1.5 km in case you need to pick essentials.
The staff were friendly and helpful. They also have a Ayurvedic spa Center, but we could not try their facility.
Overall a basic & comfortable stay, no other frills.

Vila Goesa, though not five-star and plush, provides true Goan experience. The laid back attitude and friendly staff really personifies the peaceful place that is Goa. Is is that casual and relaxed
The pool is clean, well-maintained and pleasant to swim in. the entire complex is green, full of trees, grass, plants. It is quite beautiflu
It is a two minute walk to the beach. Very convenient. It is also very close to the main road and a walkable distance from Baga beach and Calangute. There are many places to eat nearby.
Rooms are clean and neat, though not very modern. They have balconies overlooking the pool.

We stayed at Vila Goesa in Mid August. Being off season, we expected Goa to be peaceful and deserted. However, it being the festival weekend, it was pretty crowded.
We went without reservations, and required 3 rooms (we were a group of 5). They said rooms were available, but the first room they showed had water on the floor, and was smelling horribly musty. After some time we came back asking if they could clean it up (we didnt find any good hotels around Baga with direct beach access - something I really wanted). they said another room has become available as someone cancelled.
Turned out that the rooms were actually pretty decent. High ceilings, AC, balconies, and an over all old world victorian/portugese feel to each villa, these were pretty picturesque in general.
The service, however, was a whole other ball game. Probably because of the fact that they weren't expecting a crowd in this season, but it seemed like they only had one bell boy servicing all the rooms! Towels took half an hour to arrive. Blankets never arrived! The main door wouldnt locked, and it took the maintenance guy 1 hour to come and fix it.

But complaints aside, the rooms were very comfortable. The restaurant was deserted - most people had gone out to eat, of course. Good food, good service. The waiters also fixed us up with activas to travel around the next day.
The private beach access is the best part.. We went for a stroll on the beach after dinner, and walked to one of the all night cafes, and ended up eating and drinking even more!

Good place. Worth re-visiting.

We booked 3 rooms here on our vacation in aug. good comfortable rooms. Quick checkin checkout, good staff. Best part is the location. They have a private exit to the beach which is perfect fpr midnight walk. We came out for a walk and then just walked down to the closest beach shack which was just 5 mins away.
The staff also helped hiring 2 wheelers and overall were really nice. Great place!

Stayed for 2 nites as a couple on my recent trip to Goa,This hotel has an excellent location and a private & direct access to the beach in Baga, however it seems that the owners and management of this hotel have a very " careless & everythings fine " kinda attitude, the rooms are dated and need refurbishment,it has 80's 90's decor, swimming pool is out of order currently, the only reason one would want to stay here is if ur goin to be out all day and just need a bed to sleep or one is travelling in groups, for this budget one could get a better equipped guest house.

A beautiful garden hotel close to the beach. Unfortunately alot of russians in this hotel and in this area. The beach is beautiful but you won't get a minute of peace from the very intrusive salesmen on the beach. Most of the beachshaks has good food. German bakery at Baga creek is the best!
