My husband and I stayed here with our 8 month old baby and we could not fault it. Brilliant service and cleanliness. Friendly staff. Excellent accommodation- spacious room and great shower. Relaxed atmosphere. Very accommodating outdoor restaurant. Arranged to heat our baby's milk on demand. Superb location close to the beach. Great swimming pool. Shop and international phone available right outside the hotel. Pampers nappies and wipes available from shop opposite (very important when you have a baby as you don't want to carry packs of nappies in your luggage!). Taxis easily available. (I have read some of the negative reviews on here and feel they are from people who do not know what to expect from India. This is not Turkey or Lanzarote!) I have another trip planned here and will keep going back as it is ideal. Well done on a brilliant hotel.

We were looking to get away from Mumbai after the busy March quarter and jumped at the opportunity when our office colleague recommended a short vacation at Paradise Village beach resort.

With good weather, access to Calangute Beach, good rooms in the resort with balconies thrown in for good measure; our stay at Paradise proved out to be the ideal getaway we were looking for. Lots of activities for kids too- spending time in the pool; small play area and the music played in the evenings.

The best part was that we were so involved in the activities at the resort and beach that we didnt bother for any substantial sight seeing except hiring a wheeler for long drives along the North Goa coast.

Definetely an ideal get-away

It was a family trip to Goa for a week long. It was so nice that we like to visit once agin in this place. The beach adjacent to the hotel is lovely and the resturent is also lovely. It is a ideal place for the Indian tourist, who like to relax for a short period along with school going children during the month of May - Jun. Enjoyable weather mixed with sun and rain. This time sea is marvelous.

Room Tip: It is very calm place

I stayed at this Hotel on my 1st trip to Goa as an adult and with friends and have stayed here many times after that. Resort is right on the beach and walking distance from Calangute market. The resort has these small Goan Style Villas with apartments though not many are sea facing. Decent food but you would probably try to explore out of the hotel since there are many shacks around. It has a good swimming pool. Rooms are not so great esp if you are taking the standard room. There's and electricity problem most of the times and am not sure if they have recently bought a genset.

I had visited goa in month of may2011 with my family and had booked through agent the deluxe suite room, when we reached the resort the room given to us was not in a good condition, the rooms were damp, sofa set in the living room was torn ,beds and the other additional bed provided were in bad state, the room was full of light flies which caused us loss of sleep.most of the electrical plug points were not working, even in the resort the activities like table tennis are in bad state and the mini golf course equipment not available. As for the food is concrened it was just ordinary nothing to talk about. Even when we checked in the complimentary drink had to be asked and as they mention the resort is on the beach ,the entrance to beach from resort is bad as it is covered with bushes and very narrow, IN Short the resort is one of the worst maintained resort.
as for this all reason I had to change resort the next day.

Room Tip: please do not visit the resort by seeing the adv

After reading all the reviews about this place i was so worried about what we were getting ourselves into. It wasnt as bad but i wouldnt stay here again. We were givin a studio room, which was pretty tiny, there was damp patches on the wall, the corners of the room had this disgusting pile up of dirt and the floor and skirting boards could do with a good clean with bleach, a bit of paint would be good too, the a/c was full of rust and if you had it on in the room and went out on your balcony- it would stink! (see pics) Luckily i brought Dettol wipes with me after reading the reviews on here to give the place a bit of a clean (which you shouldnt have to do whilst on holiday), the cleaning boys aren't the best, they forgot to leave us toilet paper a few times (after going to reception twice we got some), didnt change the bath towels everyday nor the sheets but other than that, the sheets are clean when they do change it. The beds in our room were to single beds put together with a very thin matress', my boyfriend woke up one day with a bad back, we asked that the matress was changed on his side of the bed in the morning and by the afternoon it was. We had a do not disturb sign on the door once to not clean our room, but i dont think they know what it meant as they kept on trying to open the door.. so if you dont want your room cleaned your going to have it cleaned or if your in another block (Our room was CC2), you may not even have your room cleaned. Do NOT believe the pictures you see on this hotel 's website as its all lies! The pool is a skanky green colour, the restaurant was never opened the bar at the poolside was never opened and there was food left around the pool area for 3 days! The breakfast is terrible, i spent most of my holiday eating toast for breakfast other times we went else where. Breakfast consisted of: Curry Omelette, Spicy Egg, Curry chick peas.... (chef will make a plain omelette but thats about it) oh and if your being served by one of the staff and an Eastern European comes up and starts talking whilst you are, they will ignore you and talk to them/serve them. If you enjoy cereal in the morning you will either not find the milk or it will be warm (along with the fruit juice). The walk way to the beach is full of rubbish and needs a good clean up, and the beach is full of gawping travellers from mumbai, delhi (especially on weekends) which they spend there holiday walking up and down the beach, staring at you and taking pictures (If you don't like this- try Tidal Wave shack in Candolim, the owner does not allow anyone to come up to you and stare or take pictures and the food is delicious!) I read on here that something got stolen whilst they went away for a night, this really worried me, but we went away for 2 nights and 2 days and when we got back nothing was stolen/taken. During our stay we didnt see any bugs. Another thing to be careful with..we hired out a safe for our 14 day stay and i paid upfront 500rupees for 10 days, this was the day after we arrived so i was tired and still not with it, on the 10th day i went to pay again- forgetting that i had already paid, instead of the receptionist (male) telling me that i had paid already he pocketed the money, i went back to the reception to tell them that i had already paid and showed them the receipts and they said that they havent got records- which is a lie as the receipt they give you, gives them a copy too- howelse would they know how much you owe them at the end of the holiday?! This hotel didnt ruin our holiday, we had a great time in GOA we just wuldnt choose to stay here or in a 2* in India again.
