We spent two weeks again at the splendid Chalston Hotel on Calangute Beach.
First night we were wending our way back and discovered a newly opened bar just by the hotel's front gate. That's when we met Harry. What a guy; bar manager, head waiter, comedian, magician and much more.
The food was splendid, from simple vegetable curries to enormous lobsters. My favourite was the tandoori kingfish but my wife insists the tiger prawns were the best thing on the menu. I have never seen so many people taking photos of their food but it really was that well presented.
My only complaint is that the Kingfisher bottled beer is so insipid, but it is all over India.
