“Amazing place to relax”
Reviewed January 15, 2017 for a stay in January 2017

This is an amazing bungalow, looks like from the pre independence era. Best place for a family outing with a lot of space and really courteous staff to take care of errands. Beautiful dining space and a fabulous pool. The rooms are also spacious and bright. Clean and neat bathrooms.

“Brilliant luxury villa, right on the beach”
Reviewed January 3, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

The villa is in a fantastic location, nicely secluded so it feels private. However you are still close enough to stroll to some amazing restaurants and of course the beach!
The rooms are stunning and all en suite. The staff were amazing and the evening they cooked traditional Goan food for us was one to remember!
Can't wait to visit again!

“EXCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE AT ITS BEST@ VILLA ALINA”
Reviewed December 14, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

We needed a fantastic location in North Goa with exclusivity, great ambience, privacy, good homely food, all the comforts of a 5 star with a private pool for our Get together and guess what...IT DOES'NT GET BETTER THAN VILLA ALINA. We were 15 guys in all meeting up for our college re-union after years-many flew from the USA , others from far east, the UK and numerous parts fo the world to seek the bliss of unlimited friendship.

Right from co-ordination for dates, amenities, pick ups and drops, comfort and care we had it all - thanks to Julia and her impeccable eye for detail. It has truly been a pleasure interacting with her. She has been a through professional yet shown immense grace and courtesy through out our stay. Kudos to you and your team.

A special appreciation to the manager of the Villa Henry who went that extra mile to accommodate each of our requests- be it choice of food, selection and help in arranging the music at the pool side, snacks of our choice et all. The years of experiene at Taj have shown their true colours -hospitality at its best. Thank you again for everything.

So I highly recommend this exclusive Villa for all seeking a fun filled time of togetherness close to the action in Goa yet far from the maddening crowd. Villa Alina.......we will miss our stay but not for long.....do visit and see the flavour of Goa at its best.We will be back ....soon.

keep the good work on Julia,
regards,

Vishal

“Excellent place for a holiday with group of friend or with extended family”
Reviewed December 7, 2016 for a stay in December 2016

An excellent place centrally located in Calangute with all the facilities around the Villa. Beach is litreally 5 minutes walk from the villa. Excellent/cordial/smiling staff who take care of the property. Response from the Owner Ms. Julia N. is excellent.
The property, in-spite of being in the heart of all the hustle bustle of Calangute is very quiet, Clean, hygienic, the pool is cleaned once a day and is clean.
We had a great get together of 9 friends and am sure we will come back soon.

“Superb villa - a perfect place for a large group to chill out!”
Reviewed November 30, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We booked Villa Alina as post wedding destination for me and my wife and our friends so we could all have some fun and relax after our wedding in Jaipur.

We booked this venue months in advance and Julia (the host and owner) was extremely helpful in answering our questions and always responded quickly. she was great in coordinating the arrival of our group (13 in total arriving in four separate groups throughout the day) and also helped us with food, local entertainment, travel and various requests from our friends. In summary I did not have to worry about a single thing! I arrived care-free so that I could enjoy my carefree holiday! We were even greeted with complimentary beer after a long journey from Jaipur. This was very much appreciated!

The villa itself is gorgeous and the pictures, thought beautiful, still don't do it enough justice. It's very spacious and the building and rooms have a great traditional feel whilst the pool area gives it a more modern touch. The pool is a great size and big enough for a full 6 vs 6 volleyball match! There are about 12 sun beds and more than enough towels for everyone so everyone was able to lounge by the pool and enjoy the sun.

There is a huge dining table that overlooks the pool area with a lovely swing to compliment it. This makes breakfast and lunch in particular really enjoyable as you can enjoy the morning and midday warmth by being outside but as it's under a terrace you don't feel too hot under the Goa sun.

The bedrooms all have a nice en suite bathrooms and the beds themselves are really comfortable. All rooms have great air conditioning facilities and plenty of cupboard and storage space - perfect for groups with lots of luggage.

Breakfast which was included in our booking price was wonderful, with plenty of variety and again the in house staff served breakfast at our convenience - perfect for a group that has both early risers and late sleepers!

Wifi is complimentary and though it's not the fastest wifi on earth it does the job for simple stuff but I wouldn't recommend 14 people try and stream Netflix on 14 devices at one time. Connectivity can be a bit temperamental nonetheless it's pretty good wifi and I haven't seen anything better even in five star hotels in India.

What really sets this place apart is the in-house staff. The in-house manager, Henry, ensured we were always comfortable and he organised our transportation and lunch and dinner requirements. He also organised a great barbecue (note that lunch and dinner do come at an extra cost but these are priced quite reasonably). The other members of staff, about 3 in total are wonderfully friendly and also helped with stuff that made this feel more like a 5 star hotel stay; they helped with laundry and helped iron even though they really didn't need to, they prepared special orders for breakfast and always made sure we had dry towels and plenty of mineral water available in the kitchen. Finally the villa has 24 hour security with a friendly but alert looking security guard always at the gate.

The villa is tucked away quite nicely from a busy market street and is 4 minutes walk from Calangute beach. On the plus side this means that the villa has numerous restaurants and bars and small shops within about 30 seconds walk and the beach and water sport activities just round the corner. The flip side is that this is also quite a tourist heavy area and therefore I expect in peak times this area must get busy. However I think we stayed here just before the peak crowds began to arrive so we didn't feel it was particularly crowded. Even if there was a big tourist presence, you really don't feel it in the villa because it's nicely removed from the market street and has a sizeable area with a big boundary.

Two things that would have made the villa even better; the villa has ample room for a small volleyball/tennis court which would have been nice to have especially for large groups. We also found the TV in the living room a bit small for 13 of us to enjoy a movie, however if there was a projector and project screen or even a wall to project on, groups could enjoy open air movie nights next to, or even in, the pool. That would be incredible!

In summary, this is a wonderful villa that is superbly managed and and well located near restaurants, bars and the beach. Julia and her team made us feel like we were staying in a five star hotel and as a big group we actually enjoyed just chilling out in the villa more than anything else.

Will definitely come back again!

“Perfect holiday destination”
Reviewed November 29, 2016 for a stay in November 2016

This was my second trip to the villa as I came here 4 years ago. The owners have continued to invest significantly in the property and it now offers fantastic accommodation & facilities. All the bedrooms are ensuite, it has a beautiful outdoor eating area and a gorgeous pool and terrace. The staff are so friendly and they look after all their guests with top level service. It is a short walk to the beach, less than 5 minutes away. It is a beautiful location near shops and restaurants, which are easily within a short walking distance. I cannot rate this Villa any higher. It is the most peaceful and relaxing place to stay for the perfect Goan holiday. Don't miss the opportunity to stay here - you will never regret it.

“From the moment I arrived I knew I was in paradise”
Reviewed November 1, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

In January I had the pleasure of spending two weeks with a large group of friends in the stunning Villa Alina. The property is a beautiful ancestral home full of charm, character and history. Each room is spacious and impeccably furnished as well as having Air Conditioning and en-suite facilities. The outside dining area, infinity pool and sunbeds offer the perfect retreat to eat, drink and relax in whilst the rooftop balcony offers picturesque views over palm tree skylines.

The beach is just a two minute walk from Villa Alina whilst the bars and restaurants of Calangute are all close by, with the exceptional Au Reverie literally around the corner. Villa Alina is also the perfect location from which to explore Goa; to the north we visited the delightful Anjuna, Mandrem and Arambol, and to the south the unmissable Patnem and Palolem. And for those who fancy a challenge, take a few days to visit Hampi. The journey there alone took us ten hours, but the experience was unforgettable with night-time river crossings in coconut boats and incredible sunsets over fantastical ruins and unbelievable landscapes.

Throughout our time the owners and staff were incredible, accommodating the needs of our large group, providing an exceptional breakfast everyday as well as arranging all our transport and activities, including the aforementioned trip to Hampi.

Neither words nor pictures can truly capture the magic of this beguiling villa or this mesmerising country, but whenever I think back to those two weeks in January I cannot help but feel blessed that I got to experience this exquisite piece of paradise.
