We checked into a family suite but was a waste of money as the second room hardly had any furniture, except a sofa bed and a tv. The sofa bed was highly uncomfortable too.
We had many unpleasant experiences of a small nature which kinda put me off but the hotel is average but the spa is good. Make sure you try one of the massages.
The food for sure, is awful. On bad occupancy days, there is not even enough to eat. It's better to take just the bed and breakfast plan.
The pool is very tiny and if 4 adults get in it then you'd have a space crunch.
Overall, you'd want to search for a better hotel and if there are none, then this one would do just fine

We were looking to spend our honeymoon in Goa and were searching for places to stay around Calangute. After going through the many reviews of TripAdvisor we came across this place and compared it with many others.
The offer was irresistible from ezeego1, we were getting a suite room for around 2700/night. Skeptical at first we still booked the room looking at the reviews and some good comments by fellow travellers. Since checkin time was around 1400 hrs I did my flight booking accordingly. Journey from airport to hotel was good and was made via a private taxi.

Checkin:
When we arrived at the hotel the checkin was good and quick and after confirmation of our booking we were taken to our Palm Suite room. No hassles here.

Room:
The Palm Suite room was better than what we had expected. It was spotless clean upon entering. Some guests have reported problems with the Infrared key used to open the door, we luckily didnt face any issues. It felt cozy and warm the moment we entered. There was a guest room with attached balcony (quite spacious with two plastic chairs). The guest room had a wooden sofa (with cushioning) and a small table. There was a Panasonic LCD television was atleast 32'. A tea maker and a small fridge was also present and in working condition. The room was very clean. The bedroom was quite big and was well planned. A King size bed with very good white upholstery and soft cushions and bed. The ceiling was quite high giving an airy feeling to the room. It had a fan and an A/C. The outside unit of the A/C had water dripping on the balcony floor which was not comforting. On both sides of the bed were side tables adorned by night lamps and drawers. The room had an attached bathroom/toilet which was very clean and had a shower and liquid soap and shampoo already present. It does not have a bucket though. A bath tub would have made it perfect but was missing. The bed was very cozy and soft and perfect for a tired traveller. An ironing board with iron and a locker were present in the room. It also had a dressing table and a comfortable chair. The balcony was the same as the first room but the view to the pool was excellent with lights reflecting from the water during the night. It was almost like staying in our own house with the exception of a kitchen!

Day1-6: We had a good time and ordered dinner once. Although the food quality was nothing to crave about but was normal (we only ordered once so cant say much here). Service was delivered on time although we didnt order much and ate outside most of the time. We travelled around in an Activa. We never felt that we missed anything at our rooms. Bottled water is complimentary delivered to our rooms.
We had a complimentary breakfast (which needs to be had at the restaurant) and not delivered to the room. The breakfast was nice on all days with choices around Indian food items (two of them) and breads and corn flakes. There was omelet to choose from. The breakfast overall was good and we enjoyed it. Note that inorder to save water the bedsheets are changed once every 3 days, so if you want them to be changed daily you have to inform them. Same is for bathroom towels. Warm water is available 24 hours which is pretty nice.

Staff: We never faced any issues with the staff and they were courteous and ready to help and always put on a smiling face. Rooms are cleaned at around 1200 noon. Once we wanted it to be delayed and they were prompt to take our request and called us back at 1700 hrs as promised. We did not find any issues with the staff.

Billing: The only one issue that we faced was during billing where an additional bill was presented to us. This was for the room service we had ordered. Upon checking we found that there was one item which was not ordered by us but had our room number! This was signed by someone else so probably a mistake was made. Till that time my credit card had already been swiped. Around 70 rupees more. They requested that we take some food in return for this but we refused since we already had our breakfast. After confirming on a phone call that this was indeed not our purchase the previous bill was void and a correction was made and payment made again.

Apart from the billing issue (which could have got serious in case of a huge amount) we did not face any issues and had a great and warm stay at this hotel.

I would have given a rating of 5 but just because of the billing issue I give this hotel a rating of 4.

Verdict: If you want to spend a peaceful vacation with good service and great place to stay this is a 4-star hotel at budget price. A good value for money proposition and will stay here definitely if I decide to go to Goa again.

Thanks for making our stay comfortable, peaceful and memorable.

This hotel seemed somewhat like an oasis of tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of Goa! Lovely balconies that open out to the trees that line the periphery of the hotel ..A nice walkway and some very helpful staff. We had a great stay! The swimming pool could perhaps have been better but a definite good choice to stay in Goa ! Very well kept and a simple but nice place to stay in Goa!

We really had an amazing time here at the hotel. The food was real good and the staff were really great. really loved the friendly staff. They mingled with the guests very well.

There is a beach about 500 mtrs from this place which connects to Calangute beach.

However the positives lie in the cleanliness, hospitality. There is a long walk to the main road itself. Take your right from there and you have options for shopping there.

It was mixed Feelings at Hotel. All male staff at Reception are seems to be new and non cooperative, they required always reminders for getting the things done.
Suits Rooms are good, Rooms are quite clean.
Swimming Pool was small but nicely maintained.
At dinning, food menu at buffet were same all the days - no change at break fast, lunch and dinner except smaller , it would be added some interest if they change the menu (all the days menu were same) but we need to confessed that chef was very operative.
Tips:
possible then stay at Suit Rooms
Dont get the booking from Prasad Raghvan (T G Hospitality), he gives fake promises and also identify as employee of Hotel.

We stayed at Ocean Palms for 3 nights and found the place very good. The check-in did not take much time and we were taken to our room straight away. It is slightly away from the crowded markets and made a great getaway. Breakfast was awesome. Check out too was very smooth. The staff were very polite and made us comfortable. On the whole a great experience.
