I wish i could rate a hotel in Negative points. This is officially the worst hotel in the world. I really wish i hadn't booked a room in this hotel. When i booked this hotel i thought its a really good deal and all those bad reviews on various websites were just people with really high standards . I was so wrong. I have travels to hotels around the world , good and bad but this is officially the worst hotel in the world for one simple reason and his name is Felix Dsouza the Manager of this hotel. If there ever was an example of a human with the most pathetic qualities and idiotic sensibilites it would be him. Firstly let me tell you that this hotel is not at all how it looks in all those pictures. It is built in a pathetic area surrounded by a very bad and poor locality like the middle of a dump. It is on a uneven road and it is atleast a kilometre inside the main road and also located at a very inocous location. It took us nearly an hour to locate this hotel as none of the people even staying around this hotel knew its whereabouts and neither did anyone in the hotel bother to answer their calls to help us. Heck i cant even call this a hotel. But the worst was yet to come. As i had already made the payment and they had a 100% no refund policy i had to stay in that nightmare called a hotel.
Please note that this hotel is all of 3 floors plus ground. There is no lift and no rooms on the ground floor. As i visited in February the hotel bore a deserted look although it was the weekend. However on requesting for a room on the 1st floor as there is no lift i was told that the hotel is fully booked and they can only offer me a room on the 3 rd floor in a corner. Only when i told the Manager Mr.Dsouza that i have already requested for a room on the 1st floor while booking he "managed" to spring up a room on the 1st Floor.
However the above is manageable but i totally lost it when on the last day when i was supposed to check when i got to really know what a pathetic hotel this was.

As per their policy guests are to check out at 10 am . However as i was not aware of this policy i decided to check out at 12 pm. At 11.45 while i was in the shower i hear loud noises of banging , bell ringing and someone trying to barge in the room. As i came out i saw the manager Mr.Felix Dsouza standing there with the door lock broken . On asking him what kind of behaviour this was he instead spoke to me rudely and told me that the hotel check out policy was 10 am to which i replied that i am anyways checking out and if there are any extra charges i will pay but he kept shouting and also tried to physically drag me out of the room without even letting me wear my clothes. It was only when i threatened him that i will call the police did he keep quiet and left me alone.
Trust me this is the most pathetic hotel in the world with officially the worst manager in the world and if you still choose this hotel you are nothing but a damn fool.

I stayed in this hotel for close to 4 days and had a wonderful time there. The Food is great, the chef cooks some amazing north indian food and some delicious chicken sandwiches. The Staff was really helpful. If you're not looking for something too fancy and want a feel of home, this is the right place to be. Best Part of the hotel is that it is walking distance from the calangute beach.

The guy on the reception MK aka Mohsin Khan is a gem of a person and the most useful and helpful guy you'll ever meet.

Only negative points i can think of la flamigo is its buffet breakfast (pathetic) and a lack of swimming pool.

Overall best economical hotel I've been to.

i stayed at this hotel for 2 days in room number 208....and it was a bad experience.........room was not clean.....linen was dirty. I asked the reception twice to clean my room but to no avail. For the entire 2 day duration, my room was not cleaned, not even fresh towels were given...forget the linen. However, the breakfast was fine, but there were just 2 options.
Location is fine but not easily approachable on first visit. Pics on agoda.com are very beautiful but actually not..

Room Tip: You can opt for balcony room

La Flamingo is one of the best places to stay in Calangute area. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The rooms are very clean and room service is very good. It is located very close to natural beauty. Calangute beach(2 km), Baga beach( 2.5 km) and Candolim beach(4 km) away from hotel.

They provide breakfast. They have arranged Innova car for local travel and railway station drop.

Room Tip: They could provide internet facility to the tourists.

We booked la flamingo for 3 days from 19th dec to 21th dec but due to change in our plan we asked Felix(Hotel Manage) to extend our stay.he did it for us with the same price and with no extra charges....rooms were awsome but depends on which room you are staying in .ours was 204 and I think that one is the best room of La flamingo.
about the staffs...they were very helpful in every job they were assigned to.their turn around time for any room service was not more than 3 mins.yes they served us water bottle, tea, coffee, towels etc within 3 mins.
only one bad thing....they should extend their complementary breakfast time till 10.30 (i dont think you cant getup early after having loads of beer bottles whole night and sleeping at 5 am :) ) ...
for any external serivces like bike, cars, taxis, cab you can ask Felix without any hesitation.

Room Tip: ask for bigger room.as they have different sizes of rooms with the same tariff.

After reading the reviews we went without much expectation. But after checking in we were suprised, the room was great. It was clean and tidy... And more over the complimentary breakfast too was great. The restaurant is good with bar and the price is resonable. and they arrranged motorbikes.. Which was very convenient for us. Overalll it was a great stay. The only negative we found was it was difficult to find the hotel from the main road...
