Joseph the shack owner is proud of the fact that he went to catering college and advertises this on his menu's. He's quite right to be proud because the food is absolutely spot on. A full monty roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, apple pie and ice cream on the beach either at lunch time or in the evening is quite surreal. How many places can you get suckling pig, yes you can get it at the Rovers cooked to a 'T' by Joseph. Stir fry prawn noodles with king prawns is superb and his home made steak pie is huge and fabulous. During the day you may have to wait a while for your food because it is all cooked fresh and the shack is nearly always full. A good excuse for a couple of cold beers. The prices are very competitive with other shacks and the choice on the menu caters for most tastes. When approaching the shack whilst walking along the beach, look for the two small red flags flying from the tallest bamboo flagpoles in Calangute.
