“Sunady roast on the beach, amazing!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 18, 2013

Joseph the shack owner is proud of the fact that he went to catering college and advertises this on his menu's. He's quite right to be proud because the food is absolutely spot on. A full monty roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, apple pie and ice cream on the beach either at lunch time or in the evening is quite surreal. How many places can you get suckling pig, yes you can get it at the Rovers cooked to a 'T' by Joseph. Stir fry prawn noodles with king prawns is superb and his home made steak pie is huge and fabulous. During the day you may have to wait a while for your food because it is all cooked fresh and the shack is nearly always full. A good excuse for a couple of cold beers. The prices are very competitive with other shacks and the choice on the menu caters for most tastes. When approaching the shack whilst walking along the beach, look for the two small red flags flying from the tallest bamboo flagpoles in Calangute.

“Excellent suckling pig”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013

Although just an ordinary beach shack, the food here is excellent. The suckling pig is the dish that draws people in the evening and it is excellent. It is served with loads of potatoes and veg along with gravy and apple sauce. No chance of leaving here hungry! We have been here in a group of four (minimum) and up to groups of 20. It doesn't seem to make any difference they just adjust the quantity but never skimp. Definitely one to try if you have never eaten on the beach at night. Reservations essential.

“good food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2013

Not being a fan of establishments such as english pubs, fish and chip shops and english 'pubs' in foreign countries we were initially reluctant to visit this shack, especially with such an awful name, however recommendations from others made us decide to give it a try.
It seems a little dilapidated and out of the way compared to other shacks but it has some appeal.
The food was certainly good however the service was very slow, not sure how they managed when it was busy.

“english food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2013

Best english food in Goa served at this beach shack, the Sunday dinners are the best. Braised steak, liver and onions to mention but a few. You do need to book for the evening as it is very busy otherwise be prepared to wait ......
