Description: A Reverie is dramatically transformed with a fresh approach and energy. Our dishes edible installations and all is not what it seems! Food can do much more than just fill your stomach. At A Reverie, we are particularly interested in triggering memories through aromas, landscapes, childhood, surroundings and life. Some creations play with aroma, texture and flavour while others are designed to be provocative, tell a story or evoke an emotion. Most importantly, deliciousness! A Reverie is an expression of the evolution of the food on the table and the surrounding environment. We want your experience at A Reverie to be anything but dull. Nothing about a meal here would be humdrum. From our appetisers or sharing tapas plates and main courses to our stunning array of sweet'treats' that round off the meal, there will always at least one dish that makes you feel glad to be alive. At a more profound level, it's about food that resonates on an emotional as well as sensual level and "it demands psychological reflection". In other words, one doesn't come to A Reverie for a meal, one comes for an experience............

The experience started with the décor and ambience which were soothing both to the eye as well as the soul. Each dining table was set with tablecloth (not "normal" in Goa) and proper dishware and cutlery. It simply felt "rich".
We were three friends who like sharing so we ordered five starters, three mains and three desserts. None disappointed and most excited. My favourite was the boneless chicken wings, absolutely brilliant!
The service was excellent, very professional, very attentive.
It was my friend's birthday so the restaurant gave him a surprize dessert. It left us with a good feeling.
Yes, it is expensive ($50 per person), only when you compare it to Goan prices. But honestly, $50 was a more than fair price when measured on a European scale. When considering the preciseness of each dish, it's creativity (nothing was standard, everything showed an imaginative hand), it's presentation and it's delivery onto the table, the price was more than fair.
Thank you A Reverie for a wonderful experience.

We tried this restaurant twice during our recent three week stay in Goa. It really is the best place we've visited in 9 trips to the area and I can't recommend it enough.
The entrance is uninspiring but don't be out off. The interior is stunning - just incredible! Whoever designed this place needs a medal.
The food and drink is of the highest quality, service is excellent and presentation is breathtaking.
Cost is high by Goan prices but not by British. Our party of four had three outstanding courses each plus cocktails, water and a bottle of very good local bubbly for (I think) £108. Note, however, that the pound was strong at 100 rupees to the pound).
Finally, don't leave without visiting the washrooms. The basins are delightful!

This would be my third visit to this restaurant in the last year . Always bump into the wonderful owner and chef of the restaurant ! The ambience always complete and correct .

The entire set up of the restaurant does have one plus on aesthetics as you are not eating from thy neighbours plate . There is space ! Luckily

The food has been outstanding and the wasabi prawns are superb. The selection of alcohol and wine is great . Served in correct glasses for a change . Main course has had some addition according to season I think. The last time we never saw the wraps but they were there this time . Good but better to stick to the European fare they have which is just perfect for a single helping or for everyone to share a multiple range of dishes . The average pricing is expensive for Goa standards but when you are asking for a now package to be delivered it's fine.

The location is not far and the easiest Landmark is Barista on Calangute - it's in the lane opp.

Fond of food this is one place which has stuck to a standard luckily for a while and hope it does stay that way !

After some disappointing meals in Goa in the first couple of days, we visited this pleasant spacious restaurant. Apart from the restaurants in 5 star properties, most restaurants in Goa are cramped. Not this one at all. We enjoyed the experience so much that we frequented this restaurant three days in a row. Amongst the starters, the Baked Camembert, Goan Sausage on the local bread and the Boneless Chicken Wings stood out. It took just a little while to arrive. But then one could make out it was freshly prepared, just for you. The steak; red snapper and the John Dory amongst the fish in the mains were delectable preparations. The home made ice creams couldn't be better. With good wine to accompany, the whole dining experience was relaxed, unhurried and an extremely satisfying one in every manner. The good food brought out the good within you and it showed in the conversation that flowed. The whole experience was unhurried, as it should be. The service was unobtrusive and available just when wanted. Relevant to the quality of food served, the bill did not startle you at all.

A Reverie is a smart modern restaurant in the heart of Calangute. Its dishes are inventive and delicious, combining traditional ingredients in new ways and exquisitely served in small wooden bowls. The wine was excellent and the service discreet and prompt. A lovely alternative to the plainer cooking and barbecues in the beach shacks.
