Situated within a stone’s throw from Calangute beach, this simple no frills hostel- like BB is great for backpackers. The goan family who runs it are down to earth and friendly. We had a room upstairs - super basic, metal cots and thin mattress, but very clean. There is a terrace you can sit out on which has a couple of chairs and a table, and you can see the sea from there (although the family and guests use this place to hang their clothes)
There was no running hot water when we stayed (perhaps because of the power shortages?) but with the temperatures in goa, we didn’t really care, and found the cold (almost luck warm actually) showers refreshing,
The room we stayed in was not airconditioned, but had fan. Although there were several power cuts our room had a nice breeze, so was quite bearable.
If you aren’t looking for luxury and just want a place to sleep and dump your bags while you explore Goa, this is a great option, and far superior to other dingy hostels in the same price range (500 a night for a double room).
