I was in GOA to celebrate not just Valentine but also for my first marriage anniversary... i had selected 10 Calangute after doing lot of search on the net... from the time we arrived in Goa, to the time we left... everything was very good, the staff was very courteous (Subhankar and Victory), the service was good, the room was spacious and so was the private terrace... the only thing that let down the overall experience was the food, specially the vegetarian food (non-veg was still pretty good), the dinner served on 14th was cold....
the overall GOA experience could have been simply awesome if the food would have been better and the spicejet flight would have been on time (for some strange reason, its always running late from GOA)..... i would recommend this hotel for room, service and staff but only if you are not vegetarian .....

Room Tip: go for superior terrace room, its worth it...

An amazing experience. Great place to stay, good food and above all extremely good staffs. The property is very close to the Candolim and Calangute beaches, with a shopping mall, bars and other stores imminent, The hotel ambience was great with a mini pool on the terrace, although the pool is a bit small, but we had a fun time in it. The hotel has a talented team of staffs, I must appreciate the hospitality of Mr Subhankar Majumdar, the manager and Mr Victory Srivastava. Next time whenever I am in Goa, my address should definitely read
"10 Calangute".

Room Tip: Try for the terrace rooms, i hear they have jaccuzis in it.

Went to Goa for the first time.. It was an unforgettable stay.. I am writing this pretty late as I travelled long back.. The Hotel rocks... Complete privacy.. U wont be disturbed till u want to be.. Some people may not believe, but the best part of the room was the bathroom.. It was royal... The room we got had the biggest I believe... 5 mins from the beach... Paresh is extremely helpful, he took care of everything.. The staff is the bast you can have.. and then, there was Danny to steal the show.. He served the most awesome food in the world.. talk starters, main course, desserts (they were made in heaven).. The only downer was the pool. too shallow n too small.. Otherwise this is as close as you can get to PERFECTION..

Room Tip: The terrace rooms are not too different.. Infact they have smaller bathrooms..

We stayed at 10 Calangute in December for 3 nights on our trip to Goa. We wanted a nice lil break from our busy India trip and were very pleased we chose 10 Calangute for our stay. Its a nice boutique hotel located at about 6-7 minutes of a walk from Calangute Beach. Its perfectly located, is extremely clean and well maintained by the staff. The rooms are very spacious and are well equipped with necessities. Everyone at the hotel is very helpful and courteous. We had a great time. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for the perfect combination of fun at the beach and a nice relaxed hotel stay. We had room service breakfast and it was amazing. The Masala tea is awesome :) Two thumbs up !

I paid about 4800 per night (inclusive of breakfast and taxes).

Some of the things i didnt like about this place
1. For a hotel that has "Calangute" in its name, the hotel is not as close as one would have liked, to Calangute beach. Also, the hotel is located at the back of a mall. So there is really very little charm to it as you enter.
2. The room is a bit like an attic. It has a slanted roof - which means that while the room is large, you cant use about 50 sq. feet of it - unless you sit cross legged on the floor in that half.
3. The room i was in (named Arpora) has a bathtub in the bathroom - but a glass pane that opens out into the room instead of the wall. They have a blind that one can pull down for privacy, but the blind is quite see-through. I was with my wife, so we didnt mind it much - but it creates a hassle if you have called for room service and one of you in in the bathroom.
4. The swimming pool is a tiny lil splash pool - so we didnt bother at all.
5. Breakfast - which is to start at 8:00 a.m. as per their rules, never starts before 8:45 or so. So if you're an early riser - you don't get your first cuppa joe before 8:45. And i had to remind them twice about the coffee on both days!
6. They have one of those large tower/standing air-conditioners - If you set it at a certain temperature - it will nonetheless do its own thing at night. I woke up sweating every night.

This being said - the positives
1. The service was excellent! (apart from the delayed coffee) The staff was helpful & polite. there is a guy called "Victory" who was awesome during our stay.
2. The security guy has the numbers of Cabbies, Scooter rental guys, etc. I'm sure he gets a cut - but the scooter cost me only rs. 250/day - so this was quite good! I just went down, asked him about scooters and a guy came over with a scooter within 10 minutes.
3. The breakfast was really good. We didnt eat any other meal there.
4. They have a foosball table in the lounge area!

So all in all, this place was decent - but for the amount we paid (never paid so much for acco in Goa), this was a let down. Definitely not VFM

Dear Guest,

Greetings from Hotel 10 Calangute!
At the outset allow me to thank you for your stay and feedback.
The name 10 Calangute definitely suggest that the hotel should be in or around Calangute, which is also the name of a place except a beach, and which surely is, and not relating to ONLY proximity to Calangute beach. Though, the nearest beach within 15 minutes walk is the same stretch of the main Calangute Beach, so the name is apt.

We have noted your concern regarding the delay in breakfast. There have been necessary steps undertaken to improve the same with each individual guest’s needs kept in mind.
Kindly permit me to clarify, our bathrooms are in sync with European style and hence it has a thinner blind which have been intentionally kept for the Honeymoon couples / married couples. Further ours is a leisure pool and not a swimming pool, and the same has been put in our website and in other travel portals, and to each and every booking inquiry that we receive, we inform the same thing in the reply mail, which had also been mentioned on the Make my Trip website under our hotel details, through which you booked our room.
Regarding the A.C, it must have been put in the Auto mode and not “Cool” mode which might have caused it to pause after working for little while. If the same had been informed to us during your stay, we could have fixed that immediately.
We are certain that your invaluable comments shall facilitate us in consolidating our strengths and improve further on our standards.

Thanking You.

We stayed in 10 Calangute on our honeymoon. After reading lots of good reviews on tripadvisor, we decided to go with 10 Calangute and we are glad that we took that decision. 10 Calangute is a perfect boutique hotel. The property looks quite simple from outside and your first impression when you reach there can be that you feel that probably it was a bad choice after all but for once, I will say that first impressions are not always the last. The exterior will not bother you once you get inside as you are greeted very well. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The hotel manager Mr. Shubhankar seems very nice. He himself showed us our room. There are 10 rooms in total and each room is named after the famous beaches of Goa. We stayed in ‘Candolim’. It is a beautiful room with decent space. The rooms look exactly as they are in the pictures posted in the hotel’s website. It is equipped with a mini bar, electric kettle, LCD TV, DVD player (Although not much choice but you can ask for DVD titles from room service). The bathroom is even better with luxury fittings and a bath tub. The Wi-Fi access is complimentary. The dining area is decent. I liked the items in the breakfast menu too. There is also a small recreation area with books, magazines, indoor games and a foosball table. The swimming pool is in the terrace but a bit smaller than the regular. The service is superfast and the reason for that is there are only 10 rooms so the hotel staff can take care of the guests very well. Another thing that I like the most is the location. You can find almost everything you need with-in 150-200 m radius. You will find supermarket store, a mall, internet café, medical store, cabs on rent, pure vegetarian restaurant (if anyone wants), apparels shops etc. Calangute beach is 2 km, Baga beach is 4 km. The closest beach is 10 minutes walk away. In all 10 Calangute was a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: We stayed in Candolim, Pretty decent room. There are two terrace rooms which I think gives you some...
