“Good food in Goa”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

We were taken to this place the 1st time by some local friends and there was no turning back.. Its got amazing food.. when i'm in Goa i turn into a foodie and food is the only thing on my mind.. This one satisfies your craving for good food.. The Fish in the mustard or the chicken or even the Veg food is to kill for..

I've brought friends to this place and they have loved the food.. The restaurant is just on your way to Candolim once you have passed the little chaple in the middle of the road.. Its a nice cozy place and good for romantic dinner too.. The food and drinks are reasonably priced..

Recommend you put this on your list if you are in the North side and looking for good continental food.. If i could i would steal the chef of this place and start my own :)

“Amazing Food & Excellent Service”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

Myself and 4 friends (new and old from India, Canada and the UK) had the pleasure of eating at the Travel Bar this past Saturday evening (August 18th, 2012) we each enjoyed an appetizer and a variety of entrees, from fish to chicken to pork and everyone was very complimentary and enjoyed their food. The restaurant was full, but quiet given the Monsoon season and the service was excellent. I will definitely be going back!

“Good food in attractive surroundiungs”
Reviewed April 17, 2012

Like many restaurants in Goa the surroundings can be deceptive and under state the quality of the food on offer. Travel Bar currently has building work going on next to it and from the road it doesn't look especially inviting. However, step inside and it's a different place altogether, The owners have created an attractive oasis of a restaurant. To the extent that you become una\ware of what is around it. . You are suddenly into an inner courtyard with brick floors and quality furniture with white drapes over the cast iron window interiors. It is clear from the menu that the owners are interested in food and the menu is ambitious but not fussy either. I would recommend that you take advantage of the lunchtime offers . It is good value at this time of day and gives you a chance to look at the evening menu -which is more pricey- and consider whether the dishes on offer would suit you one evening.
Presentation of food is good and the service is good. This is a small restaurant with about ten tables so would be a good place for people who want to avoid the " loud crowd" and the food offered in the "English pubs" which are serving fish ans chips and Sunday roasts. Well worth a try.
