We were shown this hotel by a broker whilst we were standing and figuring out what to do on the Calangute beach road. Since it was off season, the rates were decent and we booked 2 rooms for 3-4 days. The rooms we stayed on the ground floor were decent with a hall and a large bedroom, nothing luxurious, but well kept beds and washrooms, AC and TV in working order. They had a fridge in the room, but was empty and we never bothered to use it. The plus point of the hotel is the swimming pool, which really relaxes you after a long day out. The location of the hotel is great, right next to the Calangute Beach, a few minutes away from the Calangute market, few minutes away from the Baga Beach. For breakfast and food in general try out the Infantaria Restaurant near the hotel...it has amazing Beef Steak Sandwiches and Croquettes. The area has a number of good and cheap hotels as well.

The resort was undergoing some renovation for the peak season which resulted in some mud at places and with rains lashing down, it was a little bad. We did not have any problems with the staff with whatever little chance we had. Only dislike was the morning tea which was horrible.

You will get bikes and cars on hire nearby. Bargaining is the key if you want good rates. Overall a good place and a good stay even though it was during the rainy season, we enjoyed our trip since the rain was kind enough to stay away whenever we decided to go out.

This was the third time I had stayed at this hotel, mainly for the location, because it is at the top end of baga road and a short walk away from the main shoping area of Calangute. I did not expect any improvements to be made to the hotel as there were none the previous year but I was surprised as the hotel is under new owners and management and they have made a good start to a long term plan to update the hotel. The staff were polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and all the staff from the room boy, bar staff up to the owner went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The accommodaion was still basic this year e.g. no television, kettle or hair dryer but the rooms were clean with fresh sheets and towels provided every day. Look forward to seeing what improvements have been made this year including the new bar.

having read previous reviews, I was very excited as everyone had the same views about this hotel. Unfortunately the hotel has new owners and things were very different from the reviews. our room boy Hk was wonderful, our room was cleaned daily, at breakfast you waited ages for any kind of service. hopefully in the future the owner will make a few changes for the better. all in all our holiday was fantastic as usual.

It was our first trip to India (we came from Russia, Saint-Petersburg). We were 3 girls 24 y.o.
The hotel wasn't bad. However it had some drawbacks. I'll try to give objective assessment.
We liked very much that....
1. The staff was very friendly.
From the begining they tried to do the best for us. We didn't wait for a room at all on check in, inspite of we came to hotel at 9 a.m. ; the room boy was very careful and welldone - he done eveything we asked him about very quickly . For example our swimsuits flew away from our balcony to the another roof. We asked him to help us. And within several hours we found our swimsuits in the rooms.
2. The rooms are big + refrigirator in the room
We had a large size room. (bedroom and sitting room were separately from each other). So it was very good because we didn't disturb each other at all.
3. There are karaoke, moovies and football on a big screen in he evening downstairs in the yard near the pool (free of charge). Unfortunately they have no popular russian songs
(Just we song only Anzhelika Varum "Dikaya vishnya")
4. The location of the hotel very good. It 's very close from the beach, shops and restaurants.
5. Warm water was always available in our room.
6. Everything was safety. Nothing was stolen from the room. I saw the security giude
We didn't like:
1. The breakfast, which was included to the room rate were very very pure (2-3 toasts, butter, jam, 1 glass of juice and tea). We had to wait for long time to have our order ready.
2. If don't put all food to refrigirator ants can attack you unexpectedly!!!
3. Old furniture in most of the rooms we had seen.
However in spite of all this momentы we liked our trip very much. India is not first country where we've travelled. We have been in Greece, Egipt, Tunisia, Cyprus, Finland, and etc.
And we can compare Park Avenue with other hotels. And we can say that this hotel is more better than 2 stars! Indeed!

i have been to goa several times staying at various places but this hotel has been the worst. good location on the baga road and thats the best this hotel has to offer. the room we were in was on the ground floor with no balcony/terrace as there was 3 of us there was no where to sit except on the beds went to reception to see about getting a room change they told us we could change 2 days before we were due to go home as the hotel was full (it wasn't). Spent the first day at the hotel the pool was ok and clean when we got there with a few sunbeds service was good that day, we went out for a meal the first night and had a early night. breakfast the next morning was a joke as it was every morning, we would sit down and be the last to be served even those who arrived for breakfast 20 or 30 mins after us were getting served before us we had to constantly go up to the bar and ask for juice which they never brought or brought as we were getting up to leave when we did get our toast it was like cardboard infact cardboard would have been more appealing (great bakery a min walk down the road). because we spent most days at the beach we were ignored when we got back to the hotel it just made us laugh and we used to say that we were not proper guests even the few nights when we did stay at the hotel for a meal (which i must say was always delicious) the service we got was bad. now for the room boy i have always made apoint of being nice to the room boys in goa as they lookafter you make sure your room is nice and clean, minibar kept fully stocked etc but we noticed that the minibar bill was getting more & more expensive 200/300 ruppes a day when 1 drink costs 20 that is a lot so was started writing down everything we had when we challenged him on this hi just said he made a mistake bills were never more than 100 rupees after. i dont mind paying but dont like to be ripped off needless to say he didnt get the tip we had planned. dont ever get a taxi outside this hotel they charge at least double than if you walk down the street. they wanted to charge 500 to baga beach and back. get a taxi driver who doesnt rip you off and use him all the time. St Anthonys beach shack in baga beach is my fav hangout for days and nights. the beachboys really lookafter you there and we had the same beds waiting for us each day at no charge as we ate and drank at the shack. as for the beach hawkers if you dont want to buy anything dont be rude to them a firm polite no i dont want will do. saying that we always used to have a chat with them and soon we would be surrounded with them arguing between themselves as to who would get a sale we hardly ever bough anything but had a great laugh with them we also bought em ice creams about 20 one day after that they never asked us to buy anything but would often stop for a chat and they also kept other hawkers away. so if you want a great holiday come to goa just dont stay at the park avenue.

As i got a very good deal wasn't expecting much anyway.

When i got to my room I was pleasantly surprised as I had a large bedroom with separate living area, fridge and good size wet room. Balcony overlooked the back and was nice and cool and quiet. The room was good, clean but very tired looking.

This was a B&B booking.... breakfast was nothing to write home about! It was coffee and toast when you were eventually served. I didn't eat at the hotel at all so cannot comment on the rest of the food.
The staff left a lot to be desired as even after two weeks they still didn't know my name or room number. Having said that my room boy was fantastic.

The location of this hotel is what makes it. It is so close to everything and everywhere. If the price was right the location is the main reason why I would go back there again; plus as I was on my own and I felt safe and at the end of the day I had a room and a shower which is what I wanted.
