I and my wife with two children (as shown in Photographs) visited Royal Palms, Benalium, Goa for one week between 22nd Dec ‘12 and 29th Dec’12. Upon staying in Resort, everything was arranged starting from fastest check in and as per our choice of unit.

This was my 5th visit having unlimited enjoyable, great sit outs truly spectacular and breathtaking experience!

Location of resort is greatest advantage to visit Madgov town which was very nearer and walk able distance to Benalium beach and shopping. We liked the ambience and the hospitality so much extended by all section of the resort especially front office.

Lastly, I’m proud to be an RGBC member, hoping your continual support in future coming vacations.

LONG LIVE RGBC

With warm regards

Third visit to this place & this was so much better. Had heard about refurbished rooms so rang the week before to ask if could have one. Was given 7(4) next to our friends in 7(3). What a transformation. New kitchen area, fab shower & so so quiet & efficient A/C. Great TV with loads of channels. Safety deposit box in wardrobe so much easier than trekking to reception. Special thanks to our cleaner Angela who can sculpt towels into anything.
Reception staff, especially Betty & Bernard fantastic, so welcoming & helpful.
Well done to Joe for both Christmas night & New Years Eve celebrations. You were a great compere! All the staff made both evening special.

Room Tip: Blocks 7,8 & 9 are the refurbished ones

Let me start of by saying i never intended this feedback to be published on the site. i had submitted my feedback on the feedback form which is available in the reception and included details of my name, phone number and email address, hoping someone would contact me about the feedback. Since no one did, going to share my feedback with you folks...

We were checked into a room in the evening and the first day seemed to be fine; just that the bed was a bit rickety when we sat on it. We spoke to the reception/house keeping and they said they would send someone to fix it. i guess they did cos when we went back the creaking seemed to have stopped. decided to watch some tv, realized the back button on the remote wasnt working; called house keeping who tested it out and voila it started working.. however the moment he went, it stopped :-(

The next day in the morning, we realized the heater wasnt working; asked for help and we had house keeping come in to fix it in sometime.. thinking tat all was well, went to have a bath; saw that there were no hooks or hangers where we could hang our dresses. there was one which was almost directly above the western closet :O what a place to place a hanger!!!!
Had my bath and realized that the water didnt drain off and instead spread to the entire floor area.. Another shocker..

We spoke to the reception about this and asked for a change in room; they said they would look into this .. We went out for the day and came back in the evening;when we checked, they told us that " all rooms were full" but that there would be a checkout on Monday and they would move us to one of the rooms. Btw, we checked in on a Saturday...

Lived with the semi functional remote, the improper drainage in the bathroom, no hangers in the bath room for another day thinking it would be our last day in the room. in the morning the heater conked out again :-( luckily there was a stove on which we could have the water heated, so wasnt very bad
tried boiling water to make some tea and found that the kettle was not working.. DAMNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Called up reception again asking for a change in room, was given the same response; all rooms were full. Came back in the evening ; got the same response :( then got a call within an hour or 2 telling us that we were going to get shifted to another room; reason - among all the rooms which were full till about an hour back, there was an unexpected checkout and they decided to allot that room to us on priority....

Seriously, those 3 days closed to messed up my entire trip; had another 3 days which went on fine but the impact of the first 3 days left a huge negative taste!!!!

On the positive side, they have a good pool, a decent Gym;the food in the hotel is good and the house keeping staff are very courteous...4 stars for them...

The location is good, in that it is close to a small shopping area, lots of grocery stores, including one in-house which stocks quite a few useful goods... very helpful in case you wanna use the kitchen for some cooking of your own...it also has a beach which is about 1.2 kms off - u can walk else take a scooter/bike... Petrol is sold a lot cheaper in the petrol bunks so do not buy more than 1 litre of petrol from the dealer - they charge you almost 20% more..

You need to bargain at the shops on the road; else you will be taken for a ride. ask for their price and quote one which is atleast 40% of theirs. eventually you would work yourself to a reasonable buyable rate...

Foreigners - beware . Rates are atleast double what they would offer to us...

I have never written a review on any holiday I have been on, but seeing some of the terrible reviews this hotel has received I felt obligated to put forward an honest review.

Myself and my husband have just returned from a 2 week holiday and stop at the Royal Goan Beach Club for 2 weeks. On arrival we had an issue with our credit card and had no money to pay for the taxi transfer, the hotel had no problem in sorting this out for us and nothing was to much trouble.

We had a very quick check in and were taken to our room straight away. We did not have a pool view, however the room we had was lovely (we were in 9(7)). I think this is one of the rooms that have been refurbished and I must say they are lovely, everything you would need and the best hotel I have stopped in in goa (this is my 3rd time). Our cleaner was excellent and the room was cleaned spotlessly every day.

It is a small initimate hotel complex, which is what we prefer with an ok size pool. I will say it is quite difficult to get a lounger first thing in the morning but by lunchtime you have no problems at all.

The only downside I would say is we went to the hotel restaurant (trattoria) during our holiday and on sitting down we were given a menu which was subsequently taken off us for another family arriving after us. We waiting for about half an hour whilst watching 3 different families that arrived after us having there orders taken whilst we were ignored, so we paid for drinks and walked out.

However, there is a number of restaurants in the area so we just ate at those. The rooftop restaurant over the road was where we ate the most, the food was lovely and very friendly staff.

The beach is a good 15 to 20 mins walk away, but you can get a tuk tuk for around 60p if you dont fancy the walk, but its a lovely beach and well worth the visit.

All in all we had a fantastic time, and would definately go there again. Many thanks Royal Palms.

Room Tip: Just ask for a refurbished room, they have modern appliances and the new quieter air con units, i wo...

Yes , thats what it is. they have build ground +3storey building, very near to each other. so u will never get any view from ur balcony except u watch another building .we were 2+2 family , they given us 1bhk (kitchen attached with hall). very small & congested (shuru hote hi khatam) else kitchen is well equipped. Beware as they do not provide anything complimentary , all services are charged , so buy ur stuff from the supermarket in store . very limited kids activity area. swimming pool is decent but crowded . I think Restaurant is not on toes to serve u any time . so i don't recommend it either u like to stay in a really budget ,bare minimum property with basic studio & 1 br apartmetns to cater to ur necessary requirements..
