This is a wonderful place.Service and food all excellent. We went every day while there for 8 days in March. Started off with a cup of tea, then sunbed for a couple of hours. Dip in the sea, then ready for lunch, different fish each day all fresh. Cooked in many different ways and tasted great, We had Calamari. prawns, pomfret and many others. A few beers to end the day.Our bill each day for 2 of us was never no more than £10. Could not fault place. Added bonus was round the back aclean toilet and seperate shower. All the staff were very friendly, Looking forward to going back there in Dec. Highly recommended.

This has to be the best restaurant in Benaulim. It is located on the beach just to the right of where the road to the beach ends. We were recommended to this restaurant and after having eaten there we mentioned it to many other people, who also rated this as their favourite restaurant. The food and service is excellent. On our first visit we had two cocktails (Pina Colada and a Planters Punch) and a prawn massala, chichen Manchurian, Vegetable Jalfrezi, garlic naan, water and coffee. The Bill came to 610 Rps (€8.60). We were so impressed that we chose to eat here again on our last night and had a freshly caught red snapper (magnificent) which was served with vegetables cooked in coconut milk, and french fries, followed by a Goan Custard, flavoured with coconut and mint. We also had a bottle of very good local wine (Rps 600), two coffees and two honey bee brandies. The total came to 1390 Rps (about €19). Add to this incredible value a romantic setting on the beach and you have near perfection, particularly if you arrive in time to watch the sunset over the sea. Highly recommended, but make sure you go during the main season as Johnny Fisherman is closed of season.
