“Just Relax!!”
Reviewed February 10, 2014

Vagator is one of the best beach to relax in North goa. It is less crowded, clean, calm among all the beaches of north goa. And this is less commercialized compared to calangute and baga beaches. But there are less accommodation facilities available near the beach. Best time to visit this beach will be in evenings. The best part is, there are no beach shacks setup on the beach and no liquor will be sold near to the beach, so this beach best suits for families and kids.

“The Redcliffe beach.”
Reviewed February 7, 2014

During my stay in Goa recently, 23-29 Jan2014 I visited this bech. It is very beautiful, peaceful beach. There is a fort at some distance known for foreign band parties during season. A clean beach not very crowdy and simply beautiful. I love this place.

“Vagator beach”

Great beach to the North of Anjuna. A small beach with a number of shacks. Most of the shacks sell great tasting and great priced food. The walk down to the beach lends to a feeling of an isolated beach but you'll find it quite busy on the weekend or during festivals.

“More than 1 beach, there are 3 or 4!”
Reviewed February 1, 2014

I started a hike at the northernmost beach and walked down all of them, with a few rock scrambles in between. The northern one has no shacks, just peace! Each beach is beautifully scenic, there's great swimming, and lots of places to eat, drink and chill.

“It's fairly quiet!”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

I find this one of the more interesting beaches in the North as it has some shape to it and its fairly quiet.

The dark sands of Vagator Beach lead on from the red cliffs that line it. Vagator is popular with both local and foreign tourists, and as a result visitors will find lots of vendors and stands selling snacks, sliced local fruit, and souvenirs. Plenty of bars and shacks are on hand to cater to this mixed crowd, and in the high season most bars buzz to the sounds of dance and trance music. There is a pretty active night life here with a few rave venues staying open late along with a few bars.

The vibe here is much more chilled. The sea is less rough than further south around Candolim as the rocks break the waves so it is a better option for swimming.
