When we came from Arambol to Thivim to get tickets for the train & failed which we had a night to kill so we went to Anjuna. Since we read many reviews we called them & we went searching Tantra. When we got there they weren't open for the season there were 4 more days left but since they had finished few tree houses we took one. Even-though we took it for a day we actually spend two day and 1 night there but the owner Karan didnt not charge us extra. He even organize the bus for us back to Mumbai. it was such nice little time there. we had a locker to put our stuff and lock. Even though the bathrooms weren't clean & was smelly (this could have happened since its closed) over-all stay was fine.

Room Tip: If you need a closed space get a cottage which they got right at the back.

Hello Guest, thanks for all good things you wrote about Tantra, However, when you arrived and stayed, place was still under construction and was really not ready to rent to guest, It was your choice to stay in those moment, the common toilets were used in that period by workers hence were not clean. Now its already one month, that place is open and whole place is vibrating with cleanliness and wonderful energy. Most of the cottages has private toilets and common toilets are kept clean all the time. Place is full of lots of young people from around the world and meeting each other.

For those who really want to feel the coolness of the morning, the sound of the sea and limited in budget - it should be perfect place. Relatively expensive for food, but accomodation $ 20 for 4 days - a ridiculous amount. Inflation may rise and labor could be more expensive later, but I'm sure - this place will be one of the best by price / quality.

Room Tip: Haggle, guys ;)

Dear Friend, thanks for all the good spirit of you about Tantra, this year Tantra has all cottages made of pinewood, with attached toilets, to make you feel good. Prices remain cheap as usual, so all budget travelers can afford to stay right on sea and meet lots of young travelers from world and can make new friends and their travel to Goa and India becomes memorable. We love and we care for you all, who stay with us and also to all of you who just visited us for a while and gave just a look at Tantra.

Tantra is a place like no other, located on the beautiful Anjuna beach, is a must visit place. The tree houses are unique and very cosy. Toilets and showers are average but quite manageable at the rates they charge. I would say that every tourist should spend atleast a couple of nights at Tantra.

This place is awesome! We didn't stay there, but you could eat in the huts. Climb a ladder made of bamboo and sticks into a hut right in the beach with a stunning view of the sunset. Food was great and the beer ice cold. Would be fun to stay for a night, but there is no privacy, nothing to keep the mosquitos out and the shared toilets and showers are average. We ate there every evening and sat drinking for hours. Definitely my favourite place in Anjuna!

I had checked every place for accommodation from behind the North end of the beach with no luck. Everywhere was booked out then I came across Tantras. Overall my stay was pleasant with my only gripe being that the huts floors were sand which quickly migrated to the bed. The position on the beach allows for quick and easy access to either the North or South ends in a reasonable time while being far enough away from the likes of Hippies so the noise in the wee hours does not get too disturbing. The down side of this location is at night it's in an unlit area and due to the rocks and tide the best option is to go through the warren of unlit roads at the back. Navigating the dark at parts may not be so hard but at Tantras I may have given up if not for bringing a torch.

For what I have seen at other lodgings I would have to say the initial 800 Rs for a hut was over priced. I should say that the showering facilities are not the greatest and though much of the inside was lit the back end was left partially unlit and with nobody there to prevent access to would be thieves. I just didn't feel I could leave anything of value in the room.

Sir, Thank you for your review ! I would like to bring to the notice of our valued guest, that, at Tantra we follow strict guideline given by government environmental department, that we can not have any fix thing or construction after 31 may on wards every year, because shack licences are given for a temporary build up with, natural material such as, bamboo, coconut leaves etc.., So we are not allowed to build any floor over sand. Every year we remove A to Z huts and shack, and do not leave any thing there except the nature and trees. Same thing is with toilets, we remove all. About light, we have taken a note of it and will keep more lights, again its to save power to protect environment. However, there is night security entire night moving from one end of property to the other end. Then most room has a steel valet to keep valuables, or could be deposited with management and a receipt could be obtained. Then, when entire Anjuna, people are not able to find place, because all are full or beyond budget of clients, we still find place for a client with very little budget and make them sleep and feel welcome. I hope, it answer the points you raised and for our other clients, who do not run away, without giving a look to this "all are welcome" place, who deeply respect law and environment.
