There's a lot that's magical about Goa - add to that the charm of this awesome little resort tucked away in Anjuna. Hacienda de Goa is a wondrous, tranquil oasis in the north, truly a holiday destination in itself! Its elegant and spacious accommodation, well - manicured gardens (have never seen Crotons in such vibrant colors!) picture - perfect pool, Romeo - its pool - side restaurant and just the very ambience of the place make you never want to leave.

But leave you must, and you carry home with you lingering memories of a wonderful holiday, the warmth of your hosts, and a fervent desire to be able to go back for more!

Place was great, the owners were wonderful, and the atmosphere was tranquil. Some of us had 900 sq ft suites (Rs 6500 per night), the others had regular rooms (around Rs 3000 per night), which was totally worth it! The pool is wonderful, and the rooms are really really nice for the price that you're paying.

Service was very slow - the staff may have been overloaded since the hotel was full. Also, it takes a good 15 minutes to walk to the beach, which isnt too bad considering the price, but we would have liked to be a little closer. Restaurent and bar closes at 9PM, but we were usually out most nights so we didn't mind. There was free wireless internet, but you couldnt access it from the rooms and needed to go to the lobby for it.

All in all - great value for money - and you really feel like a king living in those huge rooms. Dont forget to have their burgers - they're phenomenal...

We stayed at the Hacienda from 29th December until 2nd January 2011 and had a great stay. I find it hard to fault the resort as it was stunning setting, super clean, great service (if not a little slow at busy times but we are on holiday so don't mind waiting), great rooms and lovely pool. My only issue for us as two couples under 30 was the location, a little out on its own and a taxi ride away from all the places we wanted to visit; Anjuna, Baga, Callangute etc. Just a little frustrating at new year when taxis can be expensive at times. Although on the days we just wanted to chill this wasn't a problem and with there being 4 of us taxis didn't work out too much.

This has to be one of the finest places to stay in Goa. We had a beautiful suite which was furnished to the highest standards and spotlessly clean. The suite had a living room, kitchen, huge bedroom, bathroom, and my favourite, a dressing room. We overlooked the crystal clear swimming pool which I just had to use every day.

The staff couldn't have been more helpfull, nothing was too much trouble and they all treated us with the utmost respect.

The owners, Thomas and his wife Susan are the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. They treated us as friends rather than guests and when our flight was cancelled they made sure we still had somewhere to stay until we were able to fly.

If you are looking for somewhere that is peacefull, clean and full of friendly people, look no further. We will be back each year and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Thank you for making our stay so memorable. x

Hacienda De Goa is a fantastic stay option in Anjuna. During, Christmas and new years, when the whole of Goa is jam packed, this is the perfect place to come back after a hard night's partying. The hotel is located at Anjuna-Vagator and is very close to a lot of happening places like Curlies / Club Cabana / Hill Top / Paradiso etc. We were two couples travelling and checked in at the hotel on the 25th of December early morning. While reaching the hotel, we were very tense that our rooms might not be ready as we were checking in at about 7:30 am in the morning after hardly having a night's rest. To our delight, our rooms very ready and we could check in immediately. The hotel is very clean and its a very new property. The pool is also really clean and it was wonderful to have a swim here. It is located in a very peaceful area and we loved it. The suite, that we stayed in, was fantastic. A living room, a small kitchen, huge bathroom with a bathtub, a balcony, a big bedroom and a walk in closet and all this at less than 5000/- a night. I think its a steal. The owner, Mr. Thomas is a wonderful man. Extremely amiable and friendly and he ensured that our stay here was truly memorable. We will definitely stay here for our next visit to Goa.

The motto of the hotel is "Come as a stranger - go as a friend" and that is exactly what happens! The hotel itself is beautiful and comprises several two storey high buildings, classically built and beautifully decorated to a very high standard. The gardens are stunning and surround the beautiful large swimming pool. The service is 5 star. The staff all have huge respect for the owner - Thomas and his lovely Wife Susan, and vice versa, creating the most wonderful feeling of peace and calm. I can honestly say that I left the Hacienda feeling more relaxed than I have every felt before. I will be returning as soon as I can .........

Real Paradise - Hacienda will leave you INSPIRED! and you shall thank God It's Hacienda

I had already been in touch with the owner Mr Thomas prior to us arriving who assured me pick up (chargeable) would be waiting for us at the airport!! When we arrived the friendly staff didnt hang around and took us straight to our room which was a bright, airy, spotlessly clean, poolside room with the most comfortable bed I think we've ever slept in !!

Hacienda is a slice of paradise in paradise. You'll be blown away by the delicious food that in house ROMEO Restaurant serves. Me & My wife never bothered to hunt for food throughout our stay at the paradise. Options varies. All the best possible options are served here.

The location is perfect. We were secluded enough that we felt like we were in a remote paradise, but close enough to civilization that we could obtain anything we needed.

We were impressed with the resort and it's very "Heavenly" feel, but we quickly concluded that we had made the best decision by staying at Hacienda. We got so much more out of our trip that we would not have experienced had we stayed at a resort.

The rooms are huge & spacious with nice balcony overlooking the lush green lawns & Clean Swimming Pool.

The service & staff is quite nice & hospitable.... would like to come back again!!

Thank you Uncle Thomas and Susan for making our stay Memorable at Hacienda.
